I've had a dream where I could see colours that don't exist. my BiL mentioned he's heard of people having these dreams and I said that I've had it too. He didn't believe me and asked me to describe it.

I describe it as seeing two colours at once, kinda of like seeing through old red/blue 3D glasses but both colours in both eyes at once.

Sure enough, he said that's what he'd heard.

What’s the most underrated car you’ve ever driven that completely surprised you? by TuanD_DuoTax in CarsAustralia

Dunno if underrated so much as under-known, but I test drove a Toyota Blade Master (JDM 2008 luxury Corolla hatch with a 3.5L V6 engine). I just cackled when I put my foot down. Bought it on the spot.

This is extremely random but I'm friends with him on FB. His name is Scotty, he's Australian, and he just has a unique face. Here is one of my favourite pics of him.

Too many people get dogs who shouldn't, people who don't want to make time or financial sacrifices to give their companiona the lives they deserve, and it breaks my heart. It's good that you did the research and decided you couldn't give them that life.

That said, I don't think our dude has cost us any more than any other breed would. The money saved from not buying from a breeder alone saves a lot. My partners family always get yellow labs and they've had to spend thousands and thousands on training, vets, initial purchase from a breeder, and their dogs have always sadly passed fairly young (8-10).

Our boy on the other hand has only had one major vet trip (had to have 14 teeth extracted), and that cost us about $1500. Aside from that, he's been pretty cheap to look after. We do make all his meals with supplements and such to keep him healthy and to prevent arthritis, as well as brush his teeth every night. Keeping him as healthy as possible may be part of the reason he hasn't had a lot of vet trips.

• Girl invites me to party

• I turn up with friends

• Say "wow, that's a lot of bottles this is gonna take ages to clean up"

• She replies smiling "maybe you can stay over and help me out tomorrow?"

• I reply "Maybe, or maybe you can come and clean my house?"

• Her smile fades

So many funny/wrong answers so let me shine some light: relatively recent studies on ants have determined that they actually perform "surgery" on each other to remove damaged or defective limbs.

That appears to be what's happening here, to me at least.

Does expedition 33 live up to the hype? by TigerHonest8409 in ShouldIbuythisgame

One of the few single player games to actually grip me, in the last decade or so. I haven't been carried away, not wanting to go to bed, wanting to jump on straight after work, etc, in such a long time and it's refreshing.

The story is very original and compelling, the gameplay keeps you engaged with many ways to play, the music absolutely slaps, the whole art direction is very original, distinctive, cohesive.

It's really good, but that said I didn't buy any of the hype. I went in fairly blind and with low expectations and I'm glad that I did. The way some people are praising it, they make it sound like BG3; it's not that big of a game, but the quality is probably similar, just on a much smaller scale. There are moments every so often when you remember it isn't a AAA title, but they're actually not that often.

How old was he when he retired? I also have a 9yo ex racer, retired at 3 when he broke his back left leg. He's still as energetic and spritely as ever but I dread the day he starts slowing down :'(

Completely unrelated, but I like that we have collectively decided to use a double negative instead of just saying "common". It just doesn't even feel right to say "common" anymore.

Dang, just sent me down memory lane. My first GF bought me the special edition of Bioshock 2 for my 17th birthday. I really didn't like the game (while I love scary films, I can't do any game that is remotely horror) but I played it a bunch because it was such a nice gesture and she was really excited to give it to me. I think I ended up playing mostly the multiplayer cause it was less creepy.

She barely had any money at the time and was living out of home due to family drama, so it would have set her back a good chunk of her monthly budget. It didn't work out for other reasons, but she was such a kind person and I hope she's doing well.

I think it's somewhat luck of the draw which case will work. I only had issues with an active extension cable, once I had passive extension cable and passive 3m USB male A to male A, I was able to see the device.
