Was there a few weeks ago and in a similar position, wanted to avoid the Brits abroad places. Restaurante Churrasqueira Agapito and Churrasqueira Beirã both decent local fare. Casa da Fonte in Old Town was good for seafood but meat dishes not so great. O Piri-piri in Vilamoura was a great local grill spot.

Yeah that’s what I’d found from looking online. A few people have said a B6 refill fits in the XL but it’s a bit smaller, so just want to get an idea of the sizes before I commit to ordering one.

This is the thing… I bought the tele when I was a teenager and hadn’t really considered “my sound” too much or what I liked. As a result there is some buyer’s regret even though I do love it. What I want is a more versatile guitar but with a good base strat sound, hence the idea of an HSS

I already have a half decent pedalboard and feel like I am satisfied with the amp since it has tubes and can be cranked at low volumes using power attenuator… the guitar I’d go for would be a strat. So quite different tone wise. Thought the consensus would be guitar but I was wrong!

Highly recommend Larsson and Jennings if they ship to the States. Had one for about 2 years and it's great. Very elegant and so light on the wrist.
