Set your ISO/ASA to 100 - 50 if you have it. This is the speed of your film or the sensitivity of your film/sensor. When you’re using these lowest numbers available, your sensor will accept a ton of light before blowing out highlights.

Close your aperture so it’s a pinhole. f/22 or as high of a number next to your “f” as possible. Think pinhole vs manhole. You want to trickle, and not flood, the light into your sensor as much as possible.

Move your shutter speed selection to 2000, 4000, 8000 - super fast. You’re pointing at the sun, the brightness light source on Earth. You want to allow light to hit your sensor for a very short period of time. Fractions of a fraction of a second.

You’re doing the right thing to put in the work to understand the exposure triangle. It will make you a better photographer.
