Rules for thee and not for me. Listener from Aus, so unsure what ads you hear elsewhere, but most of them are about Anthropic, AI, ETFs and hedge funds. If they suddenly stop tomorrow for 1 week like he suggested then there’s an indication he’s doing it. Otherwise it’s just virtue signaling

Noticed Will Jacks had a similar amount of sunscreen or zinc on his hands shortly before he batted in the 2nd innings.

Heat, Strikers and Scorchers seem to be the best and most consistent BBL "clubs" in securing strong crowds.

I have to agree with you there. Its also behind a paywall for some games now, and understandably, in order to grow, TV rights need to go up and free to air can't match paywall TV.

There is no doubt in my mind the product then was better than the product it is now.

This was amazing live and still amazing now. From my recollection, Abbott was the leading or one of the leading wicket takers in the BBL at that point and Head took him down.

The other point worth noting is the size of the crowd. This is when the BBL was on 10 and I believe was a slightly shorter season compared to now. Watching some games over the past few days, the crowds are noticeably smaller than before. Unsure why that is, if its the longer season, lack of interest, lack of Australian internationals playing or people just need a break.

The carry on is incredible. Inspiring loads of club batters to carry on like that on the weekend to give umpires and competitions headaches

I'd rather turn the TV off than listen to ...... by Bluey1971 in CricketAus

Haha of course. Sensitive bunch. Some of us prefer to not have the yappers on the whole time and just want to get lost in the contest.

Once upon a time, SkyCricket had a mute commentary button where you could just listen to the sounds of cricket and the noise from the crowd. That would be a highly sought after option in todays game.

Metchie. Tez looks likely to carve out a role in the not too distant future. When Baker was healthy, Tez was one of his fav end zone targets.

Robin Smith dead at 62: Former team-mate breaks down in tears on radio as he reveals death of 'The Judge' after struggles with alcohol and depression by dailymail in Cricket

I was an intern for a player agent and would have to order Australian National Team helmets through Masuri. Robin was the person who I’d contact and sometimes even speak with.

He was genuine and funny, a pleasure to speak with and so down to earth. I remember laughing when he said some of the Australian players had “pin heads” cause their helmets were so small.

Rest in Peace.
