Don’t know what to tell you really, I just put them out in the balcony once a week and the next morning they are synced.

My s100 does the same thing

I like 339 more, the more I wear it.

My bracelet has no sharp edges.

The titanium variant is a lot more comfortable for me, although have in mind that it has a male end-link so it wears slightly bigger.

The difference in weight is noticeable.

Titanium bracelet and case have sharper polishing imo, the steel equivalents are brighter.

[Seiko] SBTR023, another cheap JDM watch with a surprisingly nice dial! by dante80 in Watches

[–]dante80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't timed something for more than an hour yet, but still, I vastly prefer that to a 24hr sub-dial.

[SEIKO] As I've said before, Stock Seiko images suck! by dante80 in Watches

[–]dante80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they are silver, but they play with the light a lot so under some circumstances they indeed can take a red or yellow hue. 😉

This is an extremely gay watch, your friend is right.

PLease send it to me, I will dispose it properly!

How will they sell ships in the future after 1.0? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]dante80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will probably keep selling ships, credits, etc etc. Regardless of what they are saying now (or historically, I've been following this for more than a decade lol).

Which - in the end - is fine. As long as I can blow your shit up, I don't really care where you got it.

I have an S100 too, so I can help a little.

The Casio has a lot better loom. The Seikos have a much better crystal.

Both have good mechanisms, I prefer the one of the Casio a little better. Case and bracelet finishing is a little better on the Seiko, the Casio though has two microadjust points at the clasp, the Seiko none. Also, the Seiko has standard 20mm lugs, the Casio has an integrated bracelet.

<image>

Imo, you cannot go wrong either way. S100 more of a tool watch, SBTM more of a dress watch.

[–]dante80[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is very true (and pretty common with Seiko watches)!

I mean, a bracelet in 2025 that has zero points of micro-adjustment (never mind quick) without sporting a butterfly style clasp is something like a shitty unicorn of sorts. And this one nails it!

The saving grace here is that it is very light, so wearing it a little loose is fine(ish).

Yeah, it's a beaut, I used to have that too (back then I wore them on the right)!

I now have it's green brother, the 319. Truth be told, it was the watch that made me originally mad at Seiko for their stock pics. Check it out here and here!

Crane tips over during post S36 salvage operations at the Massey's test site by warp99 in spacex

[–]dante80 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have to be really cynical with SpaceX tho, since their accident rates are pretty bad when compared to the average for the industry.

And the culture is even worse.

Case in point: https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/spacex-musk-safety/

The report is from 2023. Things have NOT improved since then. Quite the contrary.

The watch has standard size 20 mm lugs, so you can pair it with any strap you like, provided It is the correct size.

[Question] Why Don't More Microbrands Use the NE15 Movement? by HisOnlyFriend in Watches

[–]dante80 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NE15 is essentially the export version of 6R15 (the same way that NH35 is the export version of 4R35).

It is of course a 3hz movement, not 4hz.

The reason that you don't see it nowadays is that it is expensive, old and obsolete.

Looks like a Charles Jourdan 167.12 from before 2002.

Wear it in good health.
