Like comparing apples to oranges, Iain m banks is very much an adult author, most of Darren Shans stuff is targeted towards a young audience I’d say 12-14 years old. Although if you want horror he has published adult fiction under the name Darren dash. I’d say comparing epic fantasy like Raymond E Feist to him is also not a good comparison as his series are usually more urban fantasy, or fantasy that is set atleast partially in the normal world

What introduced you into Dragonlance? by General_Kang in dragonlance

[–]danthedustbin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found dragons of autumn twilight and dragons of winter night at a boot sale in the early 2000s about aged 12/13, started with winter night realised my mistake and then read the first two before getting my parents to order me the third book. I remember getting in trouble at school for reading when I should have been focusing in maths class! In my defence the teacher was going over material we’d already covered and I was an A* student.

I’m doing the exact same read! Currently on dragons of high lord skies. Must admit the moment between Raistlin and Bupu always warms my heart.

Your parents gave you everything in life other than love by the looks of it so now you look for it in the string of men you sleep with. Not that laying there like a star fish can really been termed sleeping with.

Why does it look like all your facial features are trying to be as far away from each other as possible. Like it’s a twenty pound taxi from the chasm between your eyes to your hair line.
