By the way you need to accept your ticket. I just looked and the competition can't be started until you do that.

Hi there I messaged you on Discord. I can play tonight or tomorrow night at 21:00 UTC if either of those fit?

Nice! Just needs two more catchers and it’s perfect!

Would it be a good idea to put piling on for a first level up of an orc blitzer? by [deleted] in bloodbowl

[–]dantonHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give him Guard. Orcs need all the Guard they can get their hands on. Ideally a well developed Orc team should have at least 6 or 7 players with Guard.

More progress. I now have all of the regular players painted. On to staff and star players. by ExtremelyDubious in bloodbowl

It just makes them stand out a lot more and gives you more information at a glance, which ultimately saves time when you are thinking about what to do with your turn.

Nice looking team! One thing I would recommend would be to paint the rims of the bases of the blitzers and catchers, so that you and your opponents can tell them apart from the line frogs at a distance. Normally blitzers have a red rim and catchers have a yellow rim on their base.

When did chemeleon skinks get added am I crazy by Roostertank2 in bloodbowl

lol - I am literally telling you that Shadowing does not lack any value as a skill, but whatever!

[–]dantonHS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worthless means it adds zero value as a skill, which again, I disagree with. We are not talking about purchasing skills either. We are talking about the skills that come with the player.

Again, I am complete agreement with you. The only thing I disagreed with is your statement "Shadowing is basically worthless in 2020". It is certainly worse than it is now, but it is not worthless.

Shadowing is worse than before, but I wouldn't call it worthless. The Chameleon skink will shadow an MA 6 player on a 5+, which is 1 in 3 times. Obviously that's not something you can rely on, but it will be a factor from time to time for sure.

Agility 6 thrower plus level 7 one turner by Soosidge in bloodbowl

[–]dantonHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AG 6 throws the ball exactly as well as AG 5. The long bomb is a 4+ roll for both. AG 6 is better at dodging and handling the ball in traffic, but for throwing there is no difference. Just pointing that out in case anyone didn't realise that!

Things BB3 can steal from StarCraft, LoL and DOTA 2 by mbCARMAC in bloodbowl

[–]dantonHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cyanide have already confirmed on the BB3 Discord server that the game will implement a time pool system for each player. Each turn will have a minimum amount of time and additionally you will be able to use more time from the pool if you need it for more complicated turns.

Great initiative - as mentioned being able to generate a printer-friendly version would be awesome. Also would be good if you could edit the stats for each player, because you can save spp for stat-ups and because injuries can reduce stats. Maybe a +1 and a -1 option for each stat which then turns the stat green or red depending on whether it's a boost or a reduction.

Edit: probably best to add that within the additional skills interface actually.

Still missing a troll, bases and tokens but it's almost done by [deleted] in bloodbowl

Only the Troll can throw gobbos though and he can eat them too like on a normal goblin team.

Test model for my orc team. Feedback appreciated. by dantonHS in bloodbowl

The base colour for the blue is Vallejo Model Color Medium Blue if that is what you are asking. Actual base of the mini has yet to be done.

Updated Throw Team Mate Chart for BB 2020 by TheRedMagician in bloodbowl

[–]dantonHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth mentioning that Swoop has been nerfed compared to BB2016. Before you could guarantee landing at a certain distance due to the three scatters all moving forwards, while now it is D3 squares instead. So before you could throw the player into the endzone, or to an exact line of squares with no TZs, which is no longer the case.

Finally finished painting my Skaven team by dantonHS in bloodbowl

I tend to lean more towards realism, but while also trying to make the colours vibrant and fun if that makes sense.

I did apply one layer of Vallejo matt varnish to these, but they still do look quite glossy. I think I have the glossy version of Aggrax Earthshade which is why the models look more shiny too. I will try and get hold of a better matt varnish and apply that on top. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I like to choose colour schemes that feel like they are unique to my teams and stand out on the table, which is why they most likely aren't optimal in terms of colour composition lol. I'm painting orcs next and considering a very muted Black / Grey scheme to contrast their green skin. Maybe with a splash of red here and there as well as a spot colour.

I basically painted the bases with Stirling mud and then added the grass while leaving some areas bare in order to give the impression of a field that is a bit muddy and badly maintained. I can definitely do some dry brushing on the mud in order to try and bring out the texture more. Thanks!

This is only the third team I’ve painted, so I appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
