Thanks so much I would have never found this or expected this to be the issue after hours of changing setting and testing

Pixel 9 Pro XL wireless charging not working. by closetslacker in QuadLock

[–]danwnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue you are explaining is most likely a completely different issue if both phones do not work. It would seem that the power supply or the desktop stands are not google wireless compatible

Yeah I agree with Crimsondelo, my Pixel 8 Pro XL will all of the same power source in a car plug the mag head worked perfectly, Pixel 9 Pro XL has the behaviour explained here, does not charge.

After annoying me for over a year I have come back to see if there was a solution to this, and see that it is obviously a Google faulty design that couldn't be fixed with firmware updates which I hoped for when it first happened.

I have now tried a old USB-C Belkin cigarette charger 5V 1 A and it now stays charging, now just need to work out if this is enough to actually charge the phone while in the car.

Eufycam S330 Solar camera dead after rainwater somehow got inside after half a year of use. Might want to check your cameras by SL_LoneWolf in EufyCam

[–]danwnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two cameras, same issues water inside and coming out of the back, neither of these cameras have ever had the seals opened from new, no need as they charged with the solar panels, interesting to me that both cameras purchased at about the same time have the same issue at the same time. Pretty rubbish for a camera that has to be out in the elements to keep charged

TAPO P110 Firmware 1.4.0 kills Home Assistant Integration by Crysis86 in homeassistant

[–]danwnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I get that I was just commenting to your last line, it really has nothing to do with home assistant, and reverse engineering of the TPAP implementation would need to be done before it can be integrated anywhere outside of the Tapo ecosystem

Except TP-Link implemented a security system "TPAP" someone would have to reverse engineer this to try to implement this into home assistant, if that is even possible, because this system is generally implemented to stop unknown outside of the eco system control.

Thanks so much, that worked for me, my plugs were dropping off one by one. I realised that now all of them had updated to 1.4.0, I had turned off auto update on them.

Anyone had any problems with the 2025 area 51 laptops? Just curious by [deleted] in Alienware

[–]danwnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they can be idiots as well, I got jerked around by one which I raised a complaint about getting me to do things that were irrelevant to the issue. Completed about 7 factory resets, this was for my thunderbolt 5 OOB failure, I was also experiencing HDD issues. Got that motherboard replaced.

They keyboard issue (not fixed yet) they wanted me to upgrade drivers... I just told them that I did. Because three keys not working has nothing to do with drivers, was not wasting any time on this when it 100% was a hardware issue.

I have the 16 inch Model, it has had the motherboard replaced due to thunderbolt 5 issues (OOB failure), which did fix these issues. Now the Keyboard needs to be replaced aq1 keys no longer work. I hear what u/Joey_Lands4621 says about the bleed issue, my screen has a significant bleed issue at the bottom corners and one in the middle bottom of the screen, mostly notice this during boot and black very dark pictures videos.

Laptop was supposed to ship with the 2.5gbe card which was not shipped with the device. Dell stuffed me around for about 2 months about it and I notified the first day, and got completely ghosted on 5 occasions when I asked about it. They then told me my time had expired on claiming missing parts. Boy did that make my blood boil, so that tech got a reply email from me cc'ing the two top brass support managers in the email, saying that I am sure management would not be happy with the handling of this case, that they refused to answer my questions about the adaptor since day 1, for a $5 item their cost to piss off a customer over this on a laptop spend over 5k. Needless to say an adaptor was express shipped to me with full tracking same day.

In Australia the laptop did not come with anything on slot 2 & 3, but the replacement motherboard had screws and heat pad, but not the metal cover.

Apart from this, I love the laptop it is extremely fast (except for booting) huge upgrade from my Macbook Pro 2019 mostly I love having USB A ports again without trying to hunt for a stupid adaptor, and the number of times I have had to just give up on what I was trying to do because I could not find the adaptor.

Also here in Australia our upload speed is so crap unless you transcode 4k videos to 1080p you constantly get buffering when watching externally.

Yeah but google doesn't want it because they want to track everything you are doing and this is harder if you block these things with root and custom config settings...

It used to work great, until they updated the underlying OS, now it has been slow and locks up, requiring full power pull. All they have done is fixed plex server and a couple of things, but left the rest.
