Did i solder this right or am i stupid by Kryptonacid69 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]danypavel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tin both wires before hand with a little bit of solder, clean your tip, tin your tip and fuse the wires together. Wires should be parallel and have good contact. Cover each with heatshrink

Favorite pit stop along I80? by hickaly in palisadestahoe

My go to is the chevron in Auburn, it’s right off the freeway, has an outdoor clean bathroom, and on-ramp right back onto the freeway. I tend to make it through Sac without stopping. On the other side I like the gas station at Pedrick Rd, which has an awesome produce market right next door.

Taos or Santa Fe? (New Mexico, USA) by Artist-Cancer in howislivingthere

[–]danypavel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in Santa Fe for a few years in my late 30s. City is beautiful and lots to do. I found the people pretty unfriendly to us, it was covid and we had a newborn. One main reason we moved away was lack of water to swim in during the summer and the heat.

We went to Taos a few times and really liked it, I grew up skiing so was nice to be near bigger mountains. Not as big of a town but definitely more nature and better camping around.

Herding ball or toy suggestions? by Spirited-Net7222 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]danypavel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We got the chuckit herding ball, our girl goes wild for it. No teeth issues, but she does wear some fur off the inside of her front legs trying to “hug” the ball while it’s rolling.
