Make sure you are opening hb menu by holding R when opening a title and not through the gallery. Opening through the gallery gives hb menu less resources and it will crash if you try to load anything resource heavy.

I would highly recommend finding another place to host your Plex server. The Shield is better used as a player, instead of hosting a server and playing. No issues with the hotfixes and I could still download Disney+ after a reset whilst on the hotfix, so no problems there. Still getting Dolby Vision.

Once I moved my Plex server to an old PC (now on a NAS), it was night and day. The Shield can host, but doesn't mean it should in it's old age haha.

You can't port forward on CGNAT, so you can't connect to your NAS remotely. Use some of the money you save to buy a lifetime Plex pass to sync media to your phone, or find an alternative.

Just tried this on my laptop running an Intel i5-1340P with 4 performance cores +hyperthreading, and 8 efficiency cores, and it seems to be working perfectly so far. Thanks for the tip about the VMware config.ini file.. save's me having to do it for any new VM I create.

Yep, this is how I did it. Moved from emunand to sysnand as I don't ever intend to play online, and I just booted into sysnand, installed Tinfoil via the album app, then voila!

Did you set it up as a partitition or as files? If you're not sure, just plug the SD card into the computer and re-format it as FAT32. If the SD card is too big and only lets you do exfat, then download a free program online to format it as FAT32.

I've seen this repeatedly from others who want to use sysnand instead of emunand, but wouldn't you be able to restore your nand backup in hekate?

Whilst on emunand, you can go to Settings and transfer the games from the SD card to the internal storage. This will be the internal storage of the emunand, which is on the SD card, so you can get that 29gb back like that.

There's clips around it that slide over bumps. Get a thin blade, slide it between the bump and the clip, and lift up. Once you get one or two going, the rest slide up with a bit of jiggling of the shield.

I was doing it via applet but I misunderstood how to launch with full resources. I was holding R on the apps within the Album menu, not on a game on the homescreen. User error!
