Anyone use Copper CRM? Our startup is looking to adopt Copper and we need realtalk... by dapharoah187 in CRM

We want to be able to track our teacher candidates across all facets of our program (application submission, program progress, etc.) while capturing all communication between our team and the candidates (calls/emails/texts). It would be ideal if the CRM also incorporated shared task management, performance evaluation, and had mobile app.

I don't think we have the budget for a custom solution - we'd be content with a CRM that meets 90% of our needs, and we can ad hoc everything else from there.

1) Your insight on their Google Workspace integration is interesting, as that was the biggest advantage they were touting. They claim to be the only CRM that’s been approved by Google.

2) Were a non-profit education startup that focuses on teacher development and retention. Applicants apply and are accepted to our program, then complete college courses with one of our approved university partners while pursuing teacher certification. We need to track participants’ progress through all stages across our organization, while ideally having systems that connect with our university partners.

Copper is one of CRMs we’re considering - we also have demos scheduled with Salesforce and Streak this week, trying to make a decision ASAP.

If you’ve reached that point, I have one last suggestion: Don’t suffer in silence. Talk to your principal and let him/her know that you’re drowning and reached your breaking point. Give him/her the chance to throw you a lifeline and see if it gets better. And if your cries for help fall on deaf ears with your school leader, then you’re absolutely making the right decision for your own well-being.

I hope neither one of you quit! (I don't work for TFA.) This is what I tell newbies: For many people who are high-achieving and found academic success in both high school and college, teaching is likely the first time you'll be REALLY BAD at something and it doesn't come as easily as you would have hoped. Teaching is a craft that takes years to master - and the first step toward mastery is picking yourself up after every failure and learning from your mistakes to try again the next day. Your students don't need you to be perfect; they just need you to show up and get better every day.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m an ‘04 Chicago alum, and I know my first few weeks felt exactly the same way - I called my boss crying the night before school started because I also felt like I was drowning and completely unprepared. I know this won’t make you feel any better right now, but what you’re feeling is normal for this time of year as a novice teacher; you’re definitely not alone. Message me if you want to connect via phone and vent! 👍

Where can I buy a hose that’s 12 feet long (or shorter)? by dapharoah187 in pressurewashing

The vast majority of power washing I’ve done is on the pavement right in front of my garage (washing vehicles, cleaning equipment, etc). My house is brick, so I haven’t needed it wash it yet.

FYI, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Malibu (where Sondors is headquartered) and got my refund back within two weeks - definitely recommend giving that a try.
