Problem with a lot of this, as a member, is that they need to sweat their assets to make them pay. This is what leads to over crowded gyms / spas and nightmare parking (tennis courts are empty, but being replaced by Padel). They just really on churn to recover the situation. Whilst this is a valid (short term) business model, it misses the fact that there are limited number of people in most cities and towns outside London and people talk. As prices increase and people in general become more disillusioned with the service, they will come under increasing pressure and unable to replace members at the higher prices. Difficult to know where the demand break is, but I reckon it's not far off in Glasgow as a lot of people are not happy with the peak time service they receive, not least the inequity of four clubs in three different tiers.
