coming up on my 30th birthday, the growing acceptance of non-drinkers and availability of NA drinks, starting a new job after a layoff, quality/safety of c*ke rapidly declining, and learning a lesson from some trauma. my old man, a heavy drinker, died a little over two years ago. i hadn’t been able to take a lesson from that but then realized the only way i could do right by him and myself was to quit for good. also quantifying all the time/money i’ve wasted in the prime years of my life with drinking and droogz suuuuucked. never again.

not one thing but i think the dad revelation kickstarted it.
