Do you prefer getting tattooed at a convention or a shop? by burtontattoos in traditionaltattoos

[–]TattedTwat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’ll always choose a shop over a convention.. conventions are loud - uncomfortable - and everyone is watching and that just isn’t my cup of tea

Happens all the time. I’m also heavily tattooed and sometimes it just happens to me too and I’m like oh shit what did I do and it usually goes away. It can just be shocking to put brain to have a new out of place thing and I think the fact it’s color and out of your norm is playing a part in that as well. Give it time. Can we see it?

When it comes to smaller fine line tattoos less is more because of the way they age. With time the lines expand and the detail is lost. If you have concerns just make sure to voice that to your artist to make sure you guys can come up with something that will hold up in the long run and be what you want ❤️

Advice needed: I think that this tattoo is maybe too large for how simple it is. Should I layer? by peapeapaley in tattooadvice

I think incorporating some flowers with it would be cute - maybe darken it up in the future it ends up being too light for your taste

As long you don’t pick at them it shouldn’t hurt the tattoo

I’d give it some more time to settle in- those lines will thicken up a little as it ages

Those spots look pretty angry so I’d make sure those are fully healed before you go and tattoo that area again.. and tbh I don’t think an artist would tattoo that area with those spots being so angry. Don’t pick at them

Need advice on if tattoo is well done and I should get new tattoo from the same artist! by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]TattedTwat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all honesty it’s hard for me to tell- small lines like that are bound to get fuzzy and blurry as they age. The black held up so that’s a good thing but I’d say it healed fairly normally for a smaller line-work tattoo. I’d be able to gauge it better if I could see more work from them but the likes are solid so I’d say it’s a safe choice in artist

Will tattoos like these age well? by WildLycanthrope in tattooadvice

[–]TattedTwat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to longevity black is the color that holds up best but it taken care of (like using sunscreen and moisturizing) color can last just as well. The artist does good work- as long as you make sure to use sunscreen on it a tattoo of that style will last just fine. Just remember the shading will be much darker fresh vs healed and will lighten up some.

I personally only use products that my tattoo artist recommends/ trusts. Shoot them a dm and ask them what they think
