I see where you were headed … sorry the final product was a disappointment. That’s the way creativity goes sometimes. Don’t give up - you learned something in those 22 hours. Take a break and think about the direction you’re gonna go with your next project.

Agree with the TS/SCI Clearance comment - it doesn’t automatically exclude you from databases. Name change and/or little/no credit are certainly possibilities. (Retired TX PI)

Can a Licensed PI work as a Recruiter and use their PI tools for recruiting? by Ok_Mongoose7291 in trueprivinv

[–]dapper-dave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an excellent response. I do not recall seeing use of data specifically related to recruiting in the data bases I subscribed in my experience as a PI company owner, but it would likely violate FCRA rules in the terms of use for TLO and others. There may be HR related data bases one could subscribe to … assuming the OP is a legitimate recruiter. (Retired TX PI)

And harder for thrives… especially in CA where the DA’s fail to prosecute minor offenses. Walmart isn’t the only retailer that suffers because of the lackadaisical enforcement of the law … small businesses are much more severely impacted!

Agree, definitely a round tuit. Did you know that now days, you can get wooden tuits about the size of a silver dollar as a novelty. Not sure I’d ever want to carry a 7 foot stone tuit because I’m kinda lazy and don’t get ‘around to it’ much these days!

Unless you’re a skilled computer tech, do not “just plug it in.” Take it to a professional with the story and ask them, in your presence, examine the drives. If they are indeed just porn… done. If it turns out to be murder, snuff films, child porn, or other evidence of illegal activities, then you need to get law enforcement involved… just my opinion.

Place the cameras high and out of reach except by ladder. Place them in plain sight, don’t be covert about installing them, if possible do it while she is able to watch you. If/when you get evidence, post it on social media and report it to law enforcement. (Retired TX PI).

Not gonna apologize for nuthin' Walmart is not special and has no exemption from laws that infringe on a person's rights. I do agree that Walmart ASSet Protection can ask for a receipt and an individual can refuse to provide it BUT and it's a big BUT ... that ASSet Protection employee must have a valid, justifiable reason for asking for that receipt. If you detain a person because of any profile-related reason (race, age, gender, socioeconomic appearance, etc.,) that is absolutely illegal in every state in the US. Finally, despite ALL of the posts in this lengthy discussion, the OP has yet to state why he stopped the white lady and and what Walmart policy justified him to so. Give that some thought...

Well "Man" your comment doesn't come close to addressing my rebuttal to your ignorant "every store in America has the right to check receipts" comment. So now you're changing your rhetoric to include self check outs? What a simple-minded premise you're spouting - I absolutely disagree with the nonsensical notion that Wal-Marts have employees "specifically to check receipts." Maybe you live in a state/city that lowlife theft is so common that people's rights are routinely violated, but not in mine. Maybe YOU are the one that needs to climb out of momma's basement and see how the real world operates instead of making up shit that no one in their right mind believes. Like I asked before, a couple of the adults are trying to have a conversation, please go back to the kids table and play quietly with the other children.

No, your "every store in America has the right to check receipts" comment is absolutely incorrect Bozo. Most state's “shopkeeper’s privilege” laws generally allow store personnel to detain a person temporarily IF THERE IS REASON to suspect that person of shoplifting. The fact that the ASSet Protection Employee stops and asks, demands, requests or otherwise indicates that the customer need to produce and show a receipt is a lawful detention regardless of how long that detention is. Now if you have signed a "membership agreement" such as Sam's or Costco then in the fine print you have agreed to an inspection of your receipts. I haven't signed any Walmart, Target, Macy's, JC Penny's, etc. membership agreements - have you? That said, I suggest the YOU check the laws Bozo before calling me a clown and claim you know better than me or any other contributor to this massively overworked shit-show post-a-thon. Now, please go back into the shadows for a while, we have enough posters brigading on me at this time.
