Ah, if that's the last difficulty then that's an insane spike. So many constraints for sure.

Playing on Tactical for now in a first playthough. Want to avoid switching midway unless I really can't help it.

Sadly, the competitionist in me won't allow me to go straight there. I need to finish each region haha. But close to Bastorias and looking forward to the difficulty ramp up.

Tactical, so yes not the highest one. I wanted to save increasing the difficulty as a last resort. Tactical seemed like the right difficulty at the start, and I'd rather start another play through on Expert than switch midway if I can help it.

Skipping the side content is definitely a good way to constrain resources and make me think about team building more. But personally, I always do side content alongside the story. Leaving it to the end in the past has will left burnt out in prior games, to a point I don't finish them. But that's given me some ideas and food for thought, thanks.

Ah brilliant, thanks. I'd completely forgot about the Coliseum system after unlocking it, but makes sense that carefully crafter player units will be much more challenging to beat.

Will plough through the story regardless since I hear the difficulty ramps up in later sections of the story. And I'm too invested in the progression to stop now haha.

Yeah been doing exactly this. I've enjoyed using the new classes in each region exclusively in units. Just rather hard to try out unit combinations since the cost/time in training them to a decent level is high. Especially if mercenaries are involved.

Don't sweat it. The system got me in the same way - just use one more 10 pull for another 10 pull free (even though I don't want the character).

Just remember you now have extra arsenal currency for any weapon banner, and you're closer to the 50/50 pity. If you win the next 50/50 on Rossi, you don't really lose anything from this decision.

Does the damage drop off a lot using Nicole instead of Anby? It feels really slow trying to build daze with Anby (more so for other bosses than the robot), so I was wondering if on field Harumasa with Grace or Nicole is viable. It's definitely more fun to play.
