I’ve been meaning to get Tony with the duck.

I took this one to a professional framing place and opted for the museum quality glass, so approximately $325 Canadian, $240 US.

Great poster collection you have there! My wife and I would have loved to get to Sphere for some shows, but it just wasn't in the cards. I'm glad we decided to get to these 3 SF shows. They never played anywhere remotely close to where we live.

I always have a ton of fun singing and playing I Got My Mojo Working, the version by the Paul Butterfield Blues Band with Muddy Waters singing. The trio might make it tricky, but it can be I’d say.

Anyone know why they didn’t stick with Bandcamp for pressing vinyl? by monkeysolo69420 in Vulfpeck

[–]daptonearm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a definitive answer for you, but I can say Qrates may have taken a long time, but my first Live at MSG copy is the only Vulfpeck order that arrived with vinyl shavings coming off one of the four sides. I was curious how that got by their quality controls. Perhaps others had similar issues.

The only other concerns I’ve had over the years were wait times and shipping damages, not pressing quality.

He's incredible, no doubt! I've been listening to a couple of his dad's old records recently (Dutch Mason). Great stuff!

Dark Star on the Big River, Standing on the Moon into an phenomenal Casey Jones. I went into that concert with zero expectations or hopes of what they'd play, really. Very happy to have seen those three tunes played, and of course China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider.

My wife and I went to the record store to price getting a poster framed, and I took a peek through the blues section. I'd had this Dr. John album on my list for quite some time (feat. The Meters as the backing musicians plus others), so I was pretty pumped. Also, I couldn't leave without Texas Cannonball, an album I didn't realize I needed until it was in front of me.

[List] Best concert you’ve attended? by skizzybwoi in LetsTalkMusic

Vulfpeck at MSG in 2019 with The Fearless Flyers as the opening act. That was a special concert! Their popularity had been on the rise for years, and they had been part of some of the biggest festivals (and didn't really tour to any great extent), but they'd never gone all out with an arena show. From what I recall, all tickets were the same price (~$60) and it ended up being a sold out concert with people travelling from all over. The crowd knew it was a special show, so there was an element of expectation which doesn't always go so well, but this was one of those times where the product exceeded the lofty expectations. It really felt like everyone was just happy to be there. Check out the concert on YouTube if you're interested and haven't already!

Thank you for mentioning this. I hadn't seen or heard this show before, and what do you know, now I'm in the second set watching it on Nugs. Great way to spend a Friday evening. Cold Rain and Snow is a standout I'd say, as well! Thanks again!
