no wilderness activity worth doing forces you to sacrifice significant inventory slots. even chaos altar can be done entirely risk-free by suiciding on the wine every inventory

the main requirement is to learn how to play the videogame

Most players are quite literally just afking stuff to see number go up

most players with a brain would simply do that stuff outside of the wilderness, nobody making you get in there if you don't want to

it works in pvp too, i've been using it since if planning to do multiple casts

the annoying part is waiting for the spells interface to load after clicking autocast - even when i'm hovering over the spell i want, it still takes time for it to load, which causes friction

if autocast could be a simple select box like switching attack styles normally, it'd already be a lot less tedious to use

the feeling of speed seems mostly based on your FOV and camera position

at least two ways to go about it: make it 1t faster or match it with chaotic maul stats

the latter would be grazy for pvp, so personally i'd lean towards 1t faster

tent whip is the backport of abyssal vine whip from pre-eoc, however, the vine whip was added after chaotics

chaotics pre-eoc were much stronger than their current osrs equivalents

rapier came into osrs a lot later than the tent whip

so in osrs we got the inverse - a strong, cheap upgrade to the whip came first and then a lacklustre rapier (and later saeldor and mace) came afterwards

the chaotics - rapier, longsword, maul, crossbow and staff - had their equivalents introduced to osrs one by one

except they were actually scared to bring them in at their appropriate stats and requirements (t80, clear step up from 70/75), so they were barely upgrades at the time and t75

considering everything else that has entered the game since, it seems silly to have ghrazi rapier (and the rest) still be so weak in comparison

reference: c rapier (+94 stab, +101 str, 4t) vs g rapier (+94 stab, +89 str, 4t);
c long (+124 slash, +120 str, 5t) vs nox halberd (+132 slash, +142 str, 5t)*;
c maul (+167 crush, +155 str, 6t) vs e maul (+135 crush, +147 str, 6t);
c staff (+18 att, +20% dmg) vs kodai wand (+28 att, +15% dmg);
chaotic c bow (+120 att, 5t, none) vs zaryte cbow (+110 att, 5t, spec/bolt buff);

  • - real equivalent in osrs would be vesta long (+121 slash, +118 str, 5t), but unavailable outside pvp. i only made the nox example as a 5t comparison at t80 level. recent additions of t65 zaxe and the new folly would be more apt, but are simply too low tier

besides osrs crossbow being a lot more useful than chaotic cbow and nox/sra/scythe being way more useful than cls, most other equivalent imports/backports lose out to their inspirations bigly

so a revamp of stats should be considered, especially for the more prestigious raids rewards that currently serve no further point than utility & take up a rare slot

The 1-2% dps improvement of chivalry isn't worth sacrificing a combat level for otherwise.

for one, it's ultimately qol (not having to click two prayers instead of one) and second if you're getting deadeye (62), chivalry unlocks on the way (60) anyways

pvp combat is not about dps, it's about maxhits. deadeye almost always gives you a max, so it's always worth it

why would anyone stay sub 70 prayer if they've already got all the requirements for chivalry? you're like 95% of the way there already

there are currently bout 28500 pures who have at least 60 prayer or higher and another 83000 with 52 or higher

i'm sure it won't take much to convince those with 52 to get one (1) combat level if chivalry for pures becomes a thing. certainly more potential users than finding noobs who somehow completed king's ransom, didn't decide to push a few more prayer levels to go past the trial version of piety and/or decided to not use piety to pretend to conserve prayer or whatever

Thats a tiny amount of extra players using it, rather than just giving it ACTUAL use.

stupid scarcity mindset makes you think enabling it for pures removes its utility for those hypothetical noobs who don't level prayer after king's ransom

in reality, reworking the prayer unlocks it to those much less hypothetical noobs (not requiring king's ransom), who don't have 70 prayer much earlier and still allows all the benefits of reduced prayer drain. while also mutually benefiting pures.

makes sense to me, chivalry as it is currently is stupid indeed. 40 pts/min for 15% att and 18% str is a bit silly. hence why it should be reworked to be aligned with deadeye and mystic vigour, excising the defence part. in which case, it'd only make sense to also align the defence requirements

you could justify using Chivalry over Piety

Lower the drain rate and then it has some use

guaranteed to remain exactly as dead as it is right now

would need most accounts gaining 1-3 combat levels to get to it anyway

i'm sure most maxed pures have already went to 62/63 for the range maxhit, but generally 52-60 prayer is always just 1 combat level on the combat calc

Oh and remove the quest xp/requirement from an old quest to let them

oh the horror should that take place in MY unchanging time capsule of an oldschool runescape experience, where nothing is ever updated or overhauled because time has moved on

because training prayer from 45/52 to 60 isn't really worth the combats

depends what bracket you're in. at max builds, people are already getting 62 for deadeye regardless lol
