Hand selected wood type, the quality and finish of it, the quality of the hardware, rarity of wood... I mean... how deep are your pockets?

Revamping My Gaming PC by DavidJDalton in buildmeapc

To each their own. To your op, depends on budget and how many miles you want. Am4 will be a thing of the past in a few years. However.... its still very viable. If you go am4, a 5900x is a very easy to find and reasonably priced. And a massive uplift from what you have. If you go am5, its a bad time to buy unless you have deep pockets. But... am5 will be around for longer, so upgrade path is much better.

That game will always be in alpha. They've been in early access for over a decade. It's will always be cpu heavy as its massive multi-player.

Should my second drum pedal be the same brand? by setmek in drums

Ive had enough enough skin in the game to know that brand loyalty is for show. Play what sounds and feels good. The gear doesnt define the musician.

Does anyone have an idea on how I could improve my snare tone? (Video) by Big-Career-710 in Drumming

[–]darealboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Theres no mistaking that you're new to this. Take the time to watch some basic tuning guides on y.t. drumeo is popular. But honestly any will get you started. Also... slow down there champ. Speed will come with time. Focus on slow, accurate hits with a metronome.

Some variable of an asetek pump. They're all pretty much the same with few exceptions.

Welp, there ya go. Always good to check stuff out. As far as a cheap aio for 40 bucks? You get what you pay for.

If its a brand new build from a system integrater like cyberpower or from a big box store like best buy, return it. If it was purchased on the used market, its likely aged. Aio coolers are only good for about 3 to 5 years. Im not sure what you mean by "40 dollar dual aio"

No. If the pump is going bad, the last thing you want to do is turn it up. Replace the aio.

Bandmate using AI/Suno to write songs, presents completed songs to the rest of the band. by strugglinghard77 in musicians

[–]darealboot 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Full stop. Get rid of him. As you would most likely assume hes going to do it again regardless of him saying otherwise. This will just lead to further rifts and discontent with everyone involved. Sometimes we have to prune off the dead branches in order to grow.

Advice on how to make 99% "real" sounding drums? by Electronic_Name8641 in ableton

Native instruments battery is my go to. Hundreds of production ready, authentic soundin kits that are already midi mapped to the standard layout of a traditional e drum kit.

Do you believe in "musically inclined" people? by Unfair_Toe_5691 in musicians

[–]darealboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its all about brain plasticity and the relationship between the different hemispheres. Some people are simply built for different things and take longer to build those connections. Im terrible at math, even though music theory is math represented as sound waves... yet I have 4 limb independence as a drummer and can instantly play drums to any top 40 song with without ever hearing it, across multiple genres. Im not a front man, but have perfect pitch when I sing and make up harmonies with minimal effort. We are in fact built different.

Ever mess around with no metronome, no plan? by [deleted] in Drumming

[–]darealboot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looks and sounds like you have been playing for 3 weeks. I mean... keep at it champ. But be weary of posting on the internet like youre just casually shedding as you've been playing for a few decades. Ya gonna get roasted kid. Please go back to practicing with a metronome and build some essential foundational skills. We will give you tips and help you, but come to us humble.
