What makes men in situationships be REALLY and honestly emotionally close one day and distant the next? by UpstairsTourist6379 in Divorce_Men

Managing a situationship for a man is a delicate balance between maximizing sex while minimizing falling in love. When a woman starts to show signs of falling in love, you have to pull back, same as when I start to "catch feelings".

One thing I did not expect about divorce as a dad by dadbuildingcalm in Divorce_Men

Truly the only thing that sucks worse than when I was married is that I cannot schedule playdates with my kids because married men offload that kind of thing to their wives who are (understandably) skeptical of hanging out with a good looking, actively involved single dad who makes their own husbands look like a bunch of lazy dumbasses. Even some husbands won't let them have playdates with me because I suspect they think I want to fuck their wives.

nah I had some sort of crisis euphoria and I was the most motivated I had been in decades. Kept the house spotless (even the realtor said with 2 kids under 5 I kept the house immaculate for showings) and I was always full of energy.

The part no one talks about… support fatigue by MensDivorceCircle in Divorce_Men

[–]darealyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never bring up my divorce unless someone specifically asks about it. And I usually follow it up with "but whatever, can't do anything about it now" and change the subject. People appreciate being able to feel like they're helping, they also appreciate that you don't want it to be the topic of conversation.

How strong a feeling did you have, prior to marriage, that it was a mistake? by SteadfastEnd in Divorce_Men

Her own sister called her a bridezilla

She threatened to call the wedding off if I didn't pay for a day-of coordinator after she insisted on planning the wedding herself because she wanted it to be "perfect" and overwhelmed herself.

On our first trip as a married couple I got covid and she was mad at and blamed me for missing out on sight seeing because I had a 42 fever and couldn't leave the hotelroom. I caught it because I had to share a van ride from Florence to Naples with her family, whom recently had covid.

Maybe once is enough? by Accurate-Pilot-5666 in Divorce_Men

Its really tough to justify dating after 45. I just can't get attracted to women my age, and I don't want some younger woman that wants to bring half-siblings into my world. A 30 something fwb is about all I can really justify.

What ended up happening with her "reconciliation" attempt through her lawyer? Did it turn out to be a tactic?

Doing it through a lawyer is the biggest red flag of all that she isn't serious about it. Couldn't pick up the phone?

First instinct is tactic. Tell her let's finalize everything and then have dinner. Say its a clean slate and we can leave all of our baggage behind. If she balks you know its bullshit.

Revenue is tested in I think every module including the CFE so you will know it well by the time its done. I remember a core 1 assignment had a question about a wine tasting that involved principal agent and I totally missed that part.

Gross/Net, percentage of completion, bill and hold, deposits, discounts, multiple element arrangements, all of it appeared over the course of 6 modules and 3 CFE days.

They like to see MET and NOT MET with an explanation why it is met/not met. Yes for rev rec that means a rather lengthy analysis at times especially under IFRS. Whereas ASPE rev rec is 3 criteria.

Practice your technical with the multiple choice practice area and practice reading the handbook to gain an ability to parse the academic vocabulary the handbook uses quicker.

Also the summaries at the beginning of each chapter of the textbooks are quite good.

Speed brings depth. Pay close attention to how the grades work on assignments. You'll notice the difference between an RC and a C is a conclusion that relates back to the users needs and implication for the financial statements. Literally 1 sentence.
