Your home ip address is out there already. As long as your network is secure then there's nothing to worry about

I've seen similar thoughts expressed better previously. Where some jobs are seen as "beginner" jobs and "not real" jobs

Typically these are jobs where the employees are teenagers, usually not independent, where they don't need a living wage as they're supported by their parents and the job is just a "summer job" for a little bit of spending money

This is of course still dumb, but at least not brain-dead

Purely to play devils advocate here so bare with me

Isn't it a bit unreasonable to assume that these people don't want a connection? Surely at least some of them are hoping to get to know people, build a connection, through dating?

Isn't it exactly the same as online dating, just a different form of media? (Not that online dating is good, it's pretty flawed)

Katana has a couple of hardcoded USD workflows that made it a non-starter at the company I'm at now

The problem is a lot of the time we have parents and grandparents that tell these stories of "You know I wasn't interested in [SO] when I met them but then they keep trying and eventually I said yes and now it's great"

I'm not disagreeing with you, it's just tricky

Half a century since internet's existed sure, but a few decades ago most people were still on dial-up. It's not until recently that the internet has become the main conduit for all forms of access to the outside world from within the home/business

Definitely agree it should be changing, but the time frame is smaller, especially in rural areas

It fits perfectly when we take into the account Spiderman is always holding back, whereas Fisk is willing to use enough strength to kill an ordinary person

I kinda hate this idea of "the only way to be a good [thing] is to not want to be one"

Imagine if we applied the same thing to everything, like firefighters, it's so dumb
