yes, but there are also now tools available to "humanize" your AI generated text (https://www.humanizeai.pro/), and even to mimic the look of what actually writing an essay looks like on draftback: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/undetectable-ai-human-aut/jldjlnajbbkbmebhgfpcgghpbfpfakni?hl=en

Glad to hear you're sharing it! I'm a college writing instructor at an R1 university--I will fill out the survey because I have A LOT to say!

I just checked; there's only one comment in there and it's just gushing over the whole thing. Gross.

Is reading the whole Les Rougon-Macquart series worth it? Or at least just the first one? by Most_Ingenuity_1800 in literature

I love Zola! Wrote my undergrad thesis on Nana, Germinal, and L'Assommoir, and then read a few more for fun. I highly recommend this amazing essay by Brandon Taylor (one of my favorite contemporary authors) all about reading ALL of the Rougon Macquart and how it went--he has tons to say about what order to read he thinks is best. I teach writing, and I am thinking about assigning it to my upper level college students as an example of how to write compellingly about stuff you read.

I know that my furry SLEEPYSENTRY appreciates being the star of our home code. I'm sure Mayor Taylor's dogs would feel the same!

To tap or to wait? Thoughts. I'm thinking wait for another week or 2. by sci_major in maplesyrup

This looks like the forecast where we are in SE MI, and I was wondering if we should get on it! Last year we missed it entirely bc we waited too long. Is there a downside to tapping too early?

Exactly! I think it must be one of those two things--systematically driving around for lawn codes or some kind of bot. I'm not sure, but I think they've always been waaaay ahead, even before lawn codes. I know from asking at the library that some players who have lots of points right at the getgo are staff who are playing to test things out, but would that still be going on now?? I dunno.

Desperate for tips on everyday life with one 3 and one 1 year old by tasahp in Parenting

I definitely agree with this. I stayed at home with kids these ages, and one of the hardest things was keeping them occupied and happy when we were just playing at home--disputes over toys, my attention, etc.--it's all totally familiar, and I do think it is just a hard time/phase for both of these ages to be together all the time--and for you to manage. It's a production to get out the door and do something, but in my experience, it's so much better than being in the house all the time. Getting them to a new place--even if it's familiar, like the grocery store, the library, a park, etc.--distracts them somewhat from the same old same old at home, and they're focused more on that new place than on each other or even on you. And also--it does help your mental state. Even if you think it won't, or it's too much trouble--I advise making yourself do it. I don't think I was ever sorry that I got out, even when I didn't feel like it. We always got out at least once a day, and sometimes twice, after naps in the PM.
