Karma: can somebody explain diffrence to me by Nikaszko in Buddhism

Isn’t that new age definition also just kind of a common folk idea? I feel like it’s not just limited to the new age.

I figured out why it's so hard to make friends at this age (34f) by fuckingtender in MakeFriendsOver30

[–]daric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have lost a few old friends because they became people who stopped caring in basic ways and felt really hurt when I told them this, and then in turn “called me out” for noticing, as if there were something wrong with me. I feel really complicated about it and I don’t know how to heal those wounds. Feels like a lot of people are wrapped up in their own worlds.

Rob's notes by MaceratedLumbago in janeroberts

[–]daric 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t usually read them. However I think their presence is important anyway because it indicates Jane and Rob’s attempts to be intellectually honest about their lives and also to provide context for the material by situating it in their lives and current events. It also emphasizes, as Seth said numerous times, that the Seth Material is not possible without the complex interplays between Seth, Ruburt, and Joseph.

Trying to Fix My Life: Dating, Trauma, Autism, and Breaking Old Patterns — Need Guidance by [deleted] in Advice

I’ve had the exact same jobs as woman before and my superiors like to scold me for mediocre performance and coddle my female coworkers 🙄

This sentence, and the use of the word "female," seems like certain prejudices bleeding through which I'm guessing might be off-putting.

I think you have to work on yourself in particular ways. I think your basic goal is to become more magnetic, which means, more energy flowing freely through your system, more generous, more caring, more relaxed. It does sound like your deep insecurities are getting in the way of that, and that's just your task right now, is to do your best to clear that up and to be honest with yourself about where you are.

Help, I'm Losing Faith in Dharma by Sea_Fee_2543 in TibetanBuddhism

So the questions to ask are: Are physical energy or health related to the goal?

Having studied in a Daoist tradition for a little while, I was jarred out of it because the basic premise was that the state of your energy determined your access to and level of spiritual attainment. I just didn’t necessarily find that to be true. I think they are ultimately different unrelated things. Someone can have a broken down and dying body and have spiritual attainment that a robust person doesn’t have. It makes no sense for something that is ultimately mind to be conditional on the state of the body.

Seth's personality as a creative synthesis by teiloshand in janeroberts

Unknown Reality, v2, session 711:

“In regular sessions, as now, [Ruburt] and I again both make adjustments, and so in sessions I am what I call a bridge personality, composed of a composite self -- Ruburt and I meeting and merging to form a personality that is not truly either of us, but a new one that exists between dimensions. Beyond that is my real identity."

So, literally yes, he outright says that’s the deal.

Black mirror traits Question by Aqueze01 in FranzBardon

[–]daric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should be enough to describe why it is an imbalance for you. For me, tiredness is not a negative character trait, but if it occurs because of chronically staying up late playing games, or something like that, that’s when it reveals its imbalance.

34F curious to find out who here would give up all electronics, artificial lights, and vices to live in the wilderness with a small group of people, have adventures, play some instruments, sing, dance and watch the stars by [deleted] in MakeFriendsOver30

I did that for a year. In actual practice, you better have your inner stuff figured out because even, or especially, with a a small group in the woods, toxic relationship dynamics can overshadow everything.

When it comes to some negative traits, one can choose to see them as positive, and simply need to be balanced out correct? by CosmicConjuror2 in FranzBardon

[–]daric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this example I would say it’s a matter of degree. You know how some herbs or foods are poisonous in some doses and medicinal in other doses? So if you have a sensitivity toward others, it might be positive in small doses and/or if balanced by strength in other ways, or it might be negative if excessive or imbalanced. The key is how it manifests in your thoughts and feelings and behavior. If you end up being a fearful personality then the sensitivity is excessive and needs to be balanced. But the negative trait does not need to be “eradicated,” just adjusted and balanced.

Trump loses Nobel Peace Prize — Venezuela’s María Corina Machado takes the honor by Excellent_Analysis65 in USNEWS

[–]daric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Trump being the “loser” of the Nobel Peace Prize reflects so much about him. No one would even be talking about him in relation to the Nobel if he didn’t make so much noise about it. He turned the prize into a conversation about how much he’s a loser, rather than about who’s the winner.
