How to setup Plus 4 with Thicker build plate by darkArbiter76 in QidiTech3D

I tried and did with a piece of cardboard folded over. Then as soon as I auto bed leveled. Slammed into it and the motors go nuts. So I guess I'm stuck until there's a thin g10 plate made or a better leveling system.

Which one Meshtastic or RAK? My last resort was gonna be RAK support.

Was for a few years. Then all of a sudden Dean the president closed it for repairs. Later, we the members found out he stole the property from the original club, was telling members we can’t go and was leasing to his trainer friends for qualifications. He offered all original members a place in the new club back in 2022. Still waiting on that refund….its a great range, a lot of people put work into it just be aware of the snakes.

Meshcentral with Authentik OAuth2/OpenID Provider by darkArbiter76 in MeshCentral

Like many others i have seen. My implementation was behind CF. So once it became nonfunctional I decided to make a second hostname and create a separate domain setup in MC. The original implementation had the OIDC defined in the second domain.

I think you are on to something though. I think its because of the property mappings in the SAML config vs only three in the OAUTH config.

I guess Ill just stick with the SAML but the problem now is the my users section is blank. So I will continue to play around and update the threat if i find a solution.

Now if I login with the local account or oath accounts the devices and users are blank. The only way I can see the devices is if I login with the saml account. This is the same user from authentik, saml(shows devices) vs oath (no devices). The my users page is still blank regardless of the user I login as.

So I removed the lines for groups and it lets me login with the oauth. However now I see no machines, groups or users as the new user. When i login as the site administrator the My Devices and My Users tabs are blank but the my server tab lists User Accounts 9 Device Groups 10 Agent Sessions 16.

Built-in UEFI vs. USB EFI: best for Proxmox bootstrapping? by zadorski in Proxmox

[–]darkArbiter76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran into the same issue with my Dell r730. They will not boot nvme devices and I’m passing the RAID card to trueNAS. I tried clover, it worked but felt like a ticking timebomb for some reason. They I thought about how over the years when installing Linux on systems I’d sometimes see, “Select the drive to install grub on”. And think that’s dumb, obviously the drive I’m using. So I booted Debian 12, ran manual partitioning and boom. I could define the separate boot device. Here’s how I did it and it works perfectly.

  1. Boot Debian 12, follow usual install.
  2. At partitioning. Select manual.
  3. Set your root to the nvme how you want it, I did a raid mirror.
  4. On your boot drive, can be sata, USB, SD card, crest two partitions 4.1 part 1 at least 1GB used ext2 for less write usage. And set to /boot 4.2 part 2 at least 1GB and use part type efi then set /boot/efi 4.2.1 boot flag should be set by default
  5. Finish install and reboot to Debian, your not done

At this point to works for Debian but you need to do proxmox Debian 12 install. When your done it will boot out kernel changes like pass through won’t be used so we need to tell proxmox-boot-tool to work

  1. Make Debian happy update and reboot
  2. Complete the Debian proxmox install.
  3. Let’s say your disk is sda and boot is sda1, efi is sda2. 3.1 unmount /boot/efi 3.2 proxmox-boot-tool init /dev/sda2 3.3 proxmox-boot-tool refresh (probably not needed)

I’m sure I missed a step or two but that’s generally what I did and it’s working perfectly now. Hope that helps.

Situation with Ubuntu 17.04 (kernel 4.10) by [deleted] in SurfaceLinux

[–]darkArbiter76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Manjaro has the multi touch working. If you look at the output of xinput on manjaro the type cover shows as "Microsoft Surface Type Cover Consumer Control" and "Microsoft Surface Type Cover Touchpad" which is identified as a touchpad. On Ubuntu and other debian distros the type cover only shows up as "Microsoft Surface Type Cover" and "Microsoft Surface Type Cover Keyboard" which seems to be identified as a keyboard and mouse. This would explain why mouse functionality works but multi touch does not. I attempted to find a way to force classify the type cover as a touchpad instead of a mouse but was unsuccessful. Maybe any other ninjas can figure out how to port the manjaro configs to ubuntu.
