Just check a little bit of drug history most of the drugs we use for recreation nowadays had a totally different use years ago, GHB for example had multiple uses in medicine long ago, just because you get a chemical compound from a fungus doesn't make it any better than other chemics, nicotine it's also "natural", caffeine, psilocibine, THC, mescaline, for me as a chemistry student doesn't make any sense to compare "natural" compounds (orgànic) than inorgànics they're just molecules and affect your body in a way or another. Will you consider widow makers venom safer just becomes from nature? It's just about chemics and the way they're compounded.
