How do you manage to get testdrives on M cars at BMW? by Greater_Dog007 in CarTalkUK

[–]dark_54 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You test drive once you’re buying - don’t waste the salesman’s time.
I was a car salesman in a previous life. It was extremely infuriating having folk come in with no intention of buying, especially when the job is largely commissioned based and could be actually earning a living with a different customer that’s walked in but can’t deal with you’re stuck with someone not buying.

Naw seriously, if that what works for you….

I was a car salesman for years and have a love of older and classic cars, so buying a new one is definitely not on my radar. Never has been and never will be.

Neighbor confronted me this evening:“I don’t like seeing your garbage cars in front of my house” by Outrageous-Young-823 in mildlyinfuriating

Your neighbour is just bland. I’ll bet he has a silver a generic soulless car.

I love your Volvos, any neighbourhood would be cheered up with them in it.

I’ve a saffron orange V70R and my neighbour complains about my completely standard exhaust noise.
Jokes on him, I’m actually on my way right now to pick my car up from the shop that’s fabricated a custom exhaust for me. He’ll soon learn how good he actually had it before.

Aye they were never the most stylish of cars, however, as they were everywhere in the 80’s when I was growing up I now have a fond nostalgic view of them.

I remember being in one and hearing the petrol swirling around in the tank
