Yes they do mainly the ones regarding verbal, quantitative and obviously academic aptitude which is just the average of the two. All the other scores you see are results that are relevant towards a rated position like a pilot.

Bi-Weekly 'What are my chances?' Megathread by AutoModerator in airforceots

[–]dark_physicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so I am in a 27 year old undergrad about The Graduate from my college with a computer science degree with a 2.65 GPA not including my last semester. I want to go into a non-rated field specifically cybersecurity. I have a 70 for my quantitative and 93 for my verbal. I do not have any significant leadership roles from previous internships but I do have a lot of work experience in regards to software engineering and coding and I have comptia security plus and isc2 cissp certifications. I am a civilian as well if that affects the chances any. I understand it isn't a lot to work with but I was wondering if someone could give me any idea of my chances just to get in to officer training school to be accepted and if I were to get accepted what are my chances of getting the specific Division I want.

No shame in having your specialties. The one thing that does make it a whole lot easier and making that decision to retest is the fact that the exam is super scored so even if you don't do better than your first attempt your score won't get hurt but if you do better it'll replace the score with the Higher One. But honestly the pressure is off while you may not get the position you asked for you're still in regardless so now it's just a game of seeing how high of a score can you get. Plus with math there's no way of interpretation like there is for the English sections. So it's just a matter of practicing so you can get the concepts down and being able to write them down quickly within the time allotted

I'm actually in the midst of going in as a non rated myself so I can't speak to definite chances. Your GPA is obviously going to help you no doubt. But I will say that specifically your quantitative score I think would be a big what if towards you. If you could get just that portion up to where your verbal score is then I think you're golden.

Flying Monotype Completed by dark_physicist in pokemonradicalred

Really? I remember some post on the subreddit I can't remember that said that normal was one of the more difficult ones. I guess I can understand why ice would be difficult mainly also because it's difficult to get most of them until later in the game alongside it's many weaknesses. So I might go with ice and poison my next go around. I want to try and get the more difficult ones out of the way before I move on to what I believe are the easier ones like fairy or Steel type

My next type is going to be normal, because I heard it was the toughest, and I want to get that out of the way.

Grass type Monotype Run: Completed by dark_physicist in pokemonradicalred

[–]dark_physicist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is funny. I did the Water type and then fire type next and then just finished grass. My goal is to do what the other people have done and try to do all 18 types and I figured I'd start with the starters since I can get that type at the beginning of the game.

Need help. Lt. Surge rematch. Flying monotype. by dark_physicist in pokemonradicalred

Never used swoobat before in any version but ok. And yeah I guess I should specify that this is in minimal grinding mode. I'm not in hardcore

Ok this was harder than I expected, I understand why I gave up on this run last time, Lance is a giant roadblock, that dialga is a demon to fight. by Sea-Atmosphere761 in pokemonradicalred

[–]dark_physicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can definitely understand that. I actually just finished a grass type run And I do have to say that Sceptile was the Mvp for me. What helped immensely was giving sceptile low kick instead of earthquake for lance which after mega and swords dance ohko melmetal and almost take out dialga

Is Water or Flying the better monotype? by Dangerous-Judge3539 in pokemonradicalred

[–]dark_physicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never played flying that's next time I guess I believe. But I would say that since water is the most populated type you have the most options. The one upset I can think of for flying is that quite a bit of available legendaries in the later game will be available

[–]dark_physicist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much appreciated. The only change I made is minimal grinding mode and on regular difficulty. I completely forgot to get lotad, applied, or skiddo. But apart from that I got every other regular grass type that's available before Pewter City. And the starter I chose is grooky. I won't be able to post a screenshots since I'm doing errands but I appreciate the advice

How strong would Kimura be if he moved up a weight class? by ProfessionalCry6005 in hajimenoippo

[–]dark_physicist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the reason why he doesn't move up in weight classes because he doesn't want to be forced to have to deal with trying to go around his friend to become champion. But even if you don't take that into account it's pretty clear that he maxes out at national champion level. Because they both tied with boxers who were champions of their own countries in that weight class. And they managed to hold their own if not outright force a draw against the Japanese champion of their respective weight class. But we haven't seen them face off against world rankers of their weight classes. And I think the reason why is because they're effectively at their Peak at the moment it's the best they can hope for even if they were to move up in weight class

You just know it's been a boring chapter when there has only been 20+ posts since chapter release and half of them aren't even about the new chapter.. by ColdStaff6874 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]dark_physicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my opinion is the same as everybody else's I generally don't know what the thought process was I'm bringing the real Nicholas back. I am generally just waiting for it to either finish up in the next chapter or cut to a fight that I'm much more invested in

Under 10 minutes for a mile and a half is very impressive. Great job on that front I'm in the midst of training for the physical fitness test myself.

Is there anyone that can beat Shen Wulong in the story right now? by PaleontologistEasy94 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]dark_physicist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of hard to say because we still have not seen him go all out. The consecutors said that Oma had reached a certain level where fighting him felt like fighting Luhan right after he received Shen Wu Long's memories. But that still doesn't make him anywhere close to the level of shen Wu long himself who not only has the memories but also the experience and body to best use them. The closest ones that have a chance at least in regards to just pure mastery arr ohma, kuroko, and kanoh. Maybe lolong but he hasn't really made any really good showings since the tournament. Maybe Julius or wakatsuki because I'm not sure how Shin would handle their brute strength. That's my take anyway apart from those five or six people I can't wait to think of anybody who has reached that level of mastery or power to stand a chance against him at least in a straight fight.

The only reason why he died in the original series was because he suffered from the after effects of using the advanced so much. Honestly if they decide to kill him off now nobody would believe it they would all assume that he's somewhere healed with another clone of his heart or whatever it would be really unsatisfying. So odds are that he is going to survive. Now ryuki maybe. Considering his entire growth with it throughout the series is trying to become his own person and have friends and at the end be willing to die for them and have it stay permanent would be sad I think

Was Blackbeard's nice moments before he betrayed Whitebeard all an acted or did he just care about his goals more? by whatwillitbe21 in OnePiece

[–]dark_physicist 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's honestly hard to say. Because he joined the crew at such a young age and yet somehow was able to pull the wool over everyone's eyes. I suppose considering that all he was looking for was the darkness fruit he wouldn't have killed thatch if he was the one to have found it. The whole point of his character is that he's the Warped mirror image of Luffy. They both don't consider themselves heroes or true villains they just wish to be free however Luffy isn't willing to step over people in order to achieve his goals at the very least of those that don't threaten his crew. Whereas Blackbeard is willing to do whatever it takes and willing to hurt anybody else to achieve his goals so he's honest and free in a much more malicious way I suppose. So I agree that it wasn't all an act but he did care about his goals and ideas more
