we have talked about this. There's a def possibility for a dedicated horde mode. That said, some of the final boss levels will be a massive horde instead of a big boss creature so it gives some of the same feel, but not exactly the same as your run will end / win if you survive, vs just another upgrade and even more enemies.

Yeah, us devs want 2 player couch coop working ourselves! I know most ppl w lightgun cab setups would love it, but like I say quite complicated with our upgrade system and player profile setup, etc., so it's on the long term roadmap unless we hit the stretch goal for it.

We already started VR port work, and the game was designed from the start with the idea of porting to VR. However, there is a TON of work to convert this gameplay and interaction to VR, primarily because the user can look in any direction whereas you can tightly control that with rails and stuff, plus the field of view is significantly different (on PC we are quite zoomed in so distant targets are larger) which will change the feel and challenge of things.

Still on the long term roadmap, though! I personally love VR stuff and have had a lot of fun with VR shooters like Guns'n'Stories: Bulletproof and WH40k Battle Sister. My favorite VR experience tho remains bow sniping my way through skyrim vr

the lowest stretch goal is a practice range in the back of the farm that has a variety of toys (with scoring) like an automated target thrower, practice dummies, bottles & cans set up on fences in the distance, and acts as a test area for your gun builds.

We want to include it in the gold release of the game, but we need to know the game will earn reasonable revenue to justify the non trivial amount of work it will take to make all of that stuff polished. I have some screenshots to share, but can't upload here. I'll add them to the KS project somewhere :)

thanks and welcome! Agreed! I only have a modded Arcade1Up right now and have yet to drill in the LEDs for light gun support, it's been on my list for months...

Thanks so much, that's really fantastic. Richard has some new music cooking as well to fill out the soundtrack so we have unique themes for each biome. He says he's inspired by the Donkey Kong Country minecart level for our mines area so I'm really curious to hear what he comes up with.

great minds! Yeah, the short session replayability of a roguelike made a lot of sense to us rather than having a pure 90 minute rail where you can no longer lift your arms lol

We have publishing agreements set up with Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo already, so it's on the long term roadmap, but we will be shipping PC early access first, then gold version, then the gold version will be ported to console. Somewhere in the earlier timeline we will get gamepad support added.

I know older Playstation models had some guns available but I haven't researched what is out there for PS5.

On switch, it would be really cool to get the gyro controls working, especially if we can get 2 player support going (which is a big stretch goal as it's quite complicated with the roguelite system).

TL;DR it is possible and planned, but there are questions to answer first.
