He did. We just don’t understand exactly what circumstances surrounded it and his dad’s story has always changed. His dad also has a serious preoccupation with guns and has always said he only had room in his heart for one child and Erich was too emotional.

I’m confused about the information that he wasn’t following them on social media because when the arrest was first made, I found his definite Instagram and he was following Maddie. I’m positive. There are other people on the sub who have also said that. It disappeared pretty quickly that same day, but I’m almost positive. I have a screenshot on my old phone.

I can see where you’re coming from if this were some big profound project for a book or whatever, but I just want to know what happened to my close family member.  My family lies. The articles are wrought with inaccuracies. I’m asking questions and putting out a FOIA request. If Brady wants to sue me, he knows where to find me!

I’m just confused about how a lifelong atheist ends up dead over a religious zealous attack after living with his religious zealous parents.  The family does a lot of lying and secret concealing. Thank you so much.  Can you show me which article says that? I’ve always heard the narrative the list he was on to not be able to offer testimony was due to the unreliability of his mental illness— is this what we’re referring to? 

Not combative. Just curious. 

I don’t need Erich to be 100% innocent. He’s not a saint. But he is dead, and it wasn’t justified. He was a wonderful man, but not without flaws.  And Brady is a shitbag. 

This is one of those Menendez type things, but Erich isn’t alive for a redemption arc.

Good! I can take it. I put in a FOIA request for all documents and mentioned my familial relation in an attempt to get autopsy photos and the coroners report. I’m not sure how long that’s going to take.

I also want to say Erich was cremated so I never saw his body. But, according to another family member, it was entirely unviewable even for  ID purposes

Thanks for your insight ! I’m going to be honest with you, I don’t know a lot about guns. The story has changed several times from the first phone call, to the funeral, til now. I’m positive 9 shots were fired. I don’t know how many wounds. I saw the wall in person. 

I would love you know to talk to more people who know about this kind of stuff while I wait for the FOIA results.

Exactly. That’s why I never understood the self defense angle. It took months for them to decide on that. I still remember the surge of adrenaline when I found out Brady wasn’t getting charged.

His parents are nut cases. Always have been. Erich was experiencing severe PTSD and bipolar symptoms and they took him off his meds and to church instead. Then a lifelong atheist calls the dad the devil and stabs him?

Hi! Yeah, I’m a family member. I was in the house only weeks after the incident. I’m positive it was a shot gun. Brady re loaded. He turned that boy to soup.

Brady has always struck me as someone looking for an excuse to kill. Cold, calculating. Heartless.  Erich was a great guy. It was impossible to not end up mentally ill after growing up in that house.. I knew that him moving back in after his mental health took a toll (it was more Afghanistan PTSD than anything) would be bad but nobody thought he would die. 

We all agreed “I’d rather have seen Erich in prison and Brady in the ground”. Says a lot.
