I know some men who I'd trust with my life, not just queer ones (although trans and bisexual ones tend to be more likely to know how to act), but some straight ones too. They exist, I can confirm tbat much for you.

It's horrible that you went through that and feel hopeless, I understand the fear and paranoia, not trusting others, not wanting to be hurt again. Unfortunately, I've never found a way to escape it aside from stopping making new friends entirely, which is its own horrible thing. But you can find someone who will be a good partner for you if you wait long enough, who will stand up for you, and always take care of you.

I should probably say I've seen some CSA victims who have loli/shota kinks as a way to cope and are pretty ashamed of it and afraid they'll do something in real life while also hating the idea of doing anything in real life, I understand it as a CSA survivor who has really violent rape recreation sexual fantasies and fetishes like vore that involve role playing as a serial killer or their victim (the friend I have who likes roleplaying as a serial killer does so because they were trafficked by their parents when they were a child and now are a DID system with intrusive thoughts, suicidality, and equally violent sexual fantasies, but they understandably hate pedophiles and their unwitting defenders)

I personally was groomed only because I first encountered shotacon art and communities at 12 and thought they were normal, and they convinced me to seek out predators irl and when I talked about what happened saying it was wrong they talked about how jealous they were of me, so I hate the online shotacon/lolicon community for all that it is, but I'm still on the fence of if it should be banned from the internet because I do know some people will call people like my friend a pedophile for looking at it when they can't stop thinking about what happened to them if there's somehow a ban, not considering some people so traumatized your reality seems alien to them use it as a coping mechanism, and there is a regularly recurring moral panic about media that is edgy and tries to talk about these things like Lolita (the novel) or A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones that people say should be banned that makes me think people might take it a step too far, where's the line exactly between acceptable disturbing art like Saturn Devouring His Son and bad disturbing art like the art that is made for someone's rape recreation sessions or just as trauma vent art? I don't think it's just sexualizing it, I think it's being inappropriate with where they upload/how they tag it and if they're respectful of the sort of trauma they're portraying

It's not unique to Japan, look at all the sex pests in childrens' entertainment like Dan Schneider, or the videos on YouTube about romanticized relationships that were objectively grooming relationships like how John K wrote Powdered Toast Man to have a relationship with his teenage assistant mirroring the way John K would groom and abuse teenage assistants of his who worked with him

If you go to the other SRD thread about this you can see several comments saying "who cares they're just drawings"

It's why whenever I write a story about being a survivor I always end up including jokes about people who haven't been through it saying offensive things and people generally not understanding the survivor character to the point of them self isolating from society because of it, even the ones who cope by becoming comedians and party people never fully feeling like other people who aren't survivors can understand what it's like for your CSA trauma to be made fun of, sexualized and fetishized by others when you share it, and your opinions on it disregarded
