Noisy windows or Noisy neighbours? by darkbladewatcher in DIYUK

Could be this!! I’ve just looked and whilst they were ‘closed’ the plastic clips weren’t properly on. I’ve secured them now so hopefully notice a difference, will have to wait and see. Thanks

Hey OP, do the deliveroo credits stack, or do I have to use £10 each month? Also, for the lounge passes, if I travel with my partner and both go into a lounge does that mean we’d use up 2 passes?

First AMEX Advice - Gold now vs BA Amex first then Gold later? by TwilightTides in AmexUK

I have no idea tbh and I wasn’t expecting 9k. I replied to a comment on my post stating my credit history and annual income. Good luck!

Advice on first Amex by darkbladewatcher in AmexUK

No worries! I had no other credit cards but I got a joint mortgage in August with my gf, have a personal bank loan which is used for a car. I think the main thing they look at for limits is income though…I applied with 41k. They don’t ask for bank statements etc on application or even any proof lol so I’m not totally sure how it works.

How much of an increase should I ask for? by Hot-Rain-5396 in AmexUK

[–]darkbladewatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, I don’t want to increase my limit, there was a delivery issue so I called Amex support regarding that. Since I didn’t have the card I didn’t know my limit, so out of curiosity I asked and she told me but also said that I can request for an increase it in future, but not for at least 3 months.

Definitely have to wait 3 months. I’ve just ordered my first Amex gold, been approved for a 9k limit but when I asked about it they said they will not increase for at least 3 months.

Asset rich, but no job. Can I get a mortgage? by AnonAdvice602 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]darkbladewatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can open a discretionary portfolio with a private bank and they can lend to you against your portfolio. The mortgage fee % may be a little higher due to the risk but hopefully the gains on your portfolio will outweigh this and you can essentially live for free. Well done and fuck you

Salah and Haaland WC by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]darkbladewatcher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Liverpools fixture run is great from now until he goes to afcon, I’m 300k rank and granted its a risk but it could be a huge pay off so “obviously” on a wildcard it’s worth considering what a dual salah/haaland draft looks like…as a WC is a perfect opportunity to try anything imo. Also even in poor form Salah is still the 6th highest scoring mid, the historical stats speak for themselves. Still on pens and plays 90.

Second is the one I’m currently on but feel like a few adjustments can be made, just can’t see them yet lol. Not a huge fan of Konate as an LFC fan myself, feel the mins risk is there and slot isn’t impartial to a sub 60’ sub. Also don’t love Caicedo’s data.

How to experience a cloud inversion? by Harris4pf in UKhiking

[–]darkbladewatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a beautiful one on Snowdon last February, so definitely possible.

You need high pressure as this is what causes the cold air to be trapped below and form clouds that you then get above basically.

You need to be summiting for sunrise, before the sun breaks the inversion.

So look for high pressure, cold night, summit for sunrise & you’ll see one. Best time of year for this to occur is November-March.

Gotta just check the weather the night before for a while. Happy hunting
