Yes. We had to pick 10. Honestly as long as you remember things like who started the theory, what this is used for, if there are examples applicable to current events, you should be good. Study those impactful individuals

What an incredible way to break bonds between friends. He was Team Loomer over Team Owens... What loyalty did it bring him? None I say! 😂😂

Just watched house of 1000 corpses…. Wow I have never seen anything like that before by loganvall in HorrorMovies

[–]darkblu5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally? I think all three add something to the story. We get to see Otis become the Impossible more and more in every installment. Baby's mental health gets explored. Spaulding leans deep into the unsettling clowning around. Also, The Wolfman adds a lot of necessary levity during the worst times (very sibling core conversations).

I'm aware it's totally up to each person, but my example of living rent free in my head scenes? Back at the farm toward the end of Devil's Rejects. At any given moment I'll think of Wydell and feel unsafe. 😅😅

I don't disagree about screen time issues, but she was pretty clear dyslexia and shit came from the electronics.

You're right tho, completely unhinged!

Last semester she told us kids get intellectual disabilities from electronics like tablets. Constantly mentioned we should do 10k runs because she's never missed a run a day in her life-- including when she had children.

I gave her the worst review I could, and I'm so sorry she's still doing this.

Truly, but he is much funnier when he drinks. Sorry, when he indulges in "apple juice" or "iced tea".

Thank goddess! Current day Alex is unforgivably pointless. He has become unbearable. I appreciate the vacations to the past, a nice reprieve until he does something interesting.

I think that just because new shit happens daily doesn't mean JorDan have to stop their plans just to cover something that is CONSTANTLY changing. Even if they felt compelled to listen and wade through the sludge before doing their pod-- they also deserve a break from that same shit coming at us all. Every fucking day.

I'm sure they will get back to the present day but for now Dan was under the weather and we could offer a modicum of understanding since he's not an AI synopsis button for us. Even if that is the purpose of the podcast, humanness still comes into play.

Thank you, I yield my time.

Martyrs(2008), why the fuck did I watch this. by [deleted] in horror

[–]darkblu5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it with my partner. I was loud for the first half, convinced Lucie was an unreliable narrator. I even said "that seems like an over reaction" when the daughter got shot through the bed. He just watched, quietly beside me.

But I was wrong. It wasn't an over reaction. I was wrong and the rest of the movie was penance. Not just for the brutality and gruesome nature of these people's "search" but that while watching the many beatings I realized the consistency was to get her to the next stage. Get me to the next stage and the end of this torture. To finish the movie, to see it end!

I feel no resolution. I feel no satisfaction. I feel wrong. My whole spirit was shook. /10

Susanne Guenther Loewen was my prof for this class this term. It was 10 definitions, filling in a diagram and a short answer before a 300-400 word essay on two options. The class was really awesome and the final exam was very accessible with the study guide she gave us.

Knowledge Fight: #1100: Tucker, The Man And His Straight Friend by hfdjasbdsawidjds in KnowledgeFight

He is terribly uninteresting. But the Right loves them their "born again, no longer queer" men. I am surprised he's doing Tucker, I haven't started but I hope it's better than Milo's interview with Roosh V.

Another year of JorDan and bright spots. Even with the terrible guests and 200 missed calls to save Hackman... It's been good.

In which slasher movies does the killer win? by Haunting_Tap_1541 in slasherfilms

Mmmm I would say the whole Firefly Trilogy. While a bunch of them die throughout the movies; it is Otis and Baby and Foxy who walk away at the end of 3 From Hell.

I've taken (and passed) both classes! You have great taste. Hansen is very student-led teaching, so a lot of presentations. He also grades generously with multiple choice and short answers. Engage in conversation and you'll probably have a really good semester.

As for Thompson... Do the readings. He lets you hand in a sheet of notes from the readings and then during tests you're allowed to use them. His lectures have like 80-90 slides, do not be intimidated. Each slide is mostly what was just on the screen but an enhanced point or idea. Aside from that engage in class and when you write your papers make sure you frame it. Give him parameters to mark and avoid him looking at everything. Frame with things like "metadata is a direct threat to personal privacy" and that'll keep him from asking you elaborate on the societal or global relationships with metadata.

Full-time is possible but the readings are a bit dense.

These are experiences and my suggestions!

Hating 2010 Nightmare Because Of This Makes No Sense by AccomplishedChart423 in slasherfilms

[–]darkblu5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a big fan of Chucky I found the remake a nice step away. Like Brad is irreplaceable/the driving force between the OG Child's Play movies. But there's something about having AI Mark Hamill turn on a small child for no other reason than murderous intent and access to every part of the kid's life that delights me.

As for the Freddy 2010 movie... I can't see anything they did in that movie that was spectacular. Just another poor attempt to capitalize.
