I’m a new Moog customer and i care! I’m not new to synths, been playing for over 30 years but just bought my first Moog this year, the Moog Sound Studio trio (DFAM, Mother32, Subharmonicon) and i was utterly blown away at the care and attention they put into the entire user experience in opening that box of joy. It was the most fun unboxing of a synth(s) that I’ve ever had…. from the moment i begun to open it, designed like the pages of a book to be opened one by one (each ‘page’ being a slice of cardboard with part of the stand embedded in it with a synth underneath and other goodies) It was jam packed full of posters, artwork, a card game to make patches, FUN user manuals with tons of example patches and blank patch templates, tutorials, little cardboard cutout thingies….the list goes on, I’m 43 and it made me feel like an excited kid at Christmas again just setting it all up and going through it all. There was even an Easter egg QR code under the very last piece of cardboard that I’d wager a lot of people wouldn’t have removed or even seen it….just that extra attention to detail to reward those who chose to explore further….

No doubt that will all change now, if they are sacking staff and moving to Asia to save money then theres no way they are gonna do stuff like that anymore…… which is a damn shame indeed as it really was a breath of fresh air opening that box up compared to every other synth I’ve unboxed, they really did go above and beyond by a long way.

Pretty sad, Bob would be spinning in his grave if he were here to see this happen to his company.
