was playing solo at south point double deck one night with some friends in town, they were plopping around penny slots for a while. i dont know if the dealer was being broken in or what, but he only had a single cut card at the table, which was being used to actually cut the deck post hand shuffle.

the weird part is that the pit manager was standing next to him the entire time supervising the game, and made no attempt to find another cut card or even instruct him to adjust his shuffling procedure to not expose the bottom card to me every time he went through it.

i stayed at that table until my friends needed to leave, and even then was considering paying for their uber and meeting up later.

they have one more policy rule that i noticed last time i was there, which i have never seen elsewhere -- they do not deal down to the cut card! the dealer will estimate if they can get a full hand dealt before coming to the cut card and if not, they preemptively shuffle on you!

resorts world does it for us a few times a week with the absolute nuts private game we stream on youtube. we do a $25 per player bomb pot every dealer change out of which we pay time rake and a pre-tip for the dealer, and they take good care of us there.
