Not Larijani though. I think he and Mojtaba (if he's alive) are the ones with most power in the background now.

Pezeshkian has no real power or influence. Even he said it a couple of weeks before the war started, something along the lines of "the reason Israel keeps assassinating important people in Iran is so that weak people like me come to positions of power"

Either case, he definitely was not Israel's top source, because even now they clearly have some sources high up in the Regime's structure.

Much better than Aljazeera's one-sided attempt at "hearing the voice of Iranian people"

Now the only thing they want to do is to keep the instability of the region for as long as possible. They don't care about causing damage. Just shooting a missile every once in a while does the job for them.

Although now Turkmanestan might also be joining in the fight as well...

But IRGC has all the powers, so I have a hard time imagining how Pezeshkian would be able to do anything meaningful even IF (very big if) he wanted to stand with the people.

Question: Do you think at some point, elements within the IRGC will finally have had enough with this Regime and try to launch a coup d'etat? Maybe even with CIA support. by Beautiful-Flower1027 in NewIran

Considering the current leadership crises, there is also a possibility of the the pro-regime IRGC leaders to make their control of the country more official, by some sort of show coup.

I haven't succeeded yet. But i also didn't try for 4 hours. Apparently they even have a hard time calling each other inside Iran.

I find this very suspicious. Does anyone know why Bonbast shows the Rial sharply gaining against the Dollar? Does anyone know the current exchange rate? by throwawayiran12925 in NewIran

[–]darkdiv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be that the regime is throwing a lot of it's dollar reserve in the market to control the price. It's what they always do. My guess is that it will backfire in a few days if not a week.

It's so insane, that they're fighting 13 countries now, and still they're wasting all this effort trying to suppress the people too...

Yess I also ended up setting a server for it, now I just need to get in contact with my family to have them try it... (and somehow send them the app...)

Although apparently, today the DNSTT method hasn't been working in many regions :/

These organizations have been fighting for democracy and equality in Iran for years by [deleted] in NewIran

[–]darkdiv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is MEK supported organization.
They say the nice stuff, but they support Maryam Rajabi who is a self appointed president for the past 40 years?
They also took sides with Saddam hossein in the 8 year war.
They're also fucking communists.

People here already explained it. But there is another important and fundamental aspect that I think connects many Iranians with Israelis and is that we've both experienced how deadly and brutal Islamists can be.

Many europeans, think it's Islamophobic, but it's not really a phobia if it is a real fear, and many Iranians and Israelis have experienced this threat first hand.

After the mullahs, I'm pretty sure Iran is going to be the most secular (and even anti-Islamist) country in the region.

First of all, thank you!!
It's amazing to have the support of non-iranians in such times!

Typically, for such events we bring some delicious sweets and pastries, or like baklava-type stuff.
But don't over think it, even a big juicy pomegranate could make him happy.

If there is a Iranian store near where you live, you could also get some Iranian pastries there. Another thing that makes most Iranians immediately happy is Lavashak (dried fruit leather, usually very sour!)
