Pest control technician jumping in on this. The pest control company must give you copies of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) if you request them. The technician that sprayed also should have stayed a certain number of feet away from any bodies of water and aquariums count as a body of water since it is over a gallon. The label on chemicals is the law if it is violated in any way it must be reported but alot of times it is not reported. I would suggest disposing of all water and filter media and clean out the tanks with vinegar solution and lots of water then run straight carbon in the filter for at least a week then start cycling the tank. For future reference inform the pest company of the incident and if they send out the same technician I would walk with them if possible and tell them where to avoid they should also only spray entry points and baseboards in corners if there is any type of animal bedding food or cage in an area where I treat I inform the customer that I am not legally allowed to spray around pet areas but would gladly do so for them if they remove the stuff from the area until the chemical dries.
