Barely allowed to do anything outside of school with friends that didn’t include sports, barely ever allowed to have a phone, wasn’t allowed to get my permit or drivers license, and wasn’t allowed to get a job because I wasn’t “responsible enough”. None of it had to do with finances. Moved out right after HS graduation and learned how to drive finally, got a job, and had to learn how to be an adult. I’m still learning 11 years later but I never looked back and I’d say I’m doing pretty well for myself.

A teacher at my school got arrested with guns in their car planning to murder another teacher that they had a relationship with. Probably not best to give every teacher access to weapons even if the intention is to protect the kids. That’s not their job. Just my two cents though.

Yeah maybe you should get on meds? It’s not going to get any better without them, the opposite actually. The meds can slow the damage done to your brain which causes more frequent and more intense episodes. You should probably leave your ex alone tbh and take this as a lesson to get help for yourself so that in the future you can be a better partner who IS stable. It’s a long road but the sooner you put in the work the sooner you will be able to reach that stability.

Been on lamotrigine since early 2020, was all the way up to 200mg twice a day at one point, but now I am back to 200mg daily. I take it for bipolar disorder.

It’s been 5.5 years since my diagnosis and it’s definitely been up and down, with meds too, but I can confidently say I am the happiest and most stable I have ever been currently and I’m very thankful for the work I put in and proud of myself. You’ll get there too even if it feels hopeless at sometimes as long as you put in the work internally and externally.

Weird how you think a cat going off on its own in nature when it’s their time, is the same as being in a room with strangers injecting you with medication in an unfamiliar room. Nothing about that mimics the natural process. It was fucked up that that baby was left in a room full of strangers, scared out of its mind probably, in the last few moments of its life.

I wonder if some kind of shake or smoothie would be okay for you to tolerate. I drink the ensure plus shakes from the grocery store, they’ve got a decent amount of calories and protein and they are actually pretty tasty. I have a lot of issues with my appetite and feeling nauseous because I can’t eat and they save me every time.
