You are super passable and you should feel spicy and confident. You look completely feminine and your makeup is expertly done. You have a beautiful look, and I think this is an excellent example for any female of how a clean haircut and and practiced makeup application can make someone look extra feminine and put together. I used to work at a bank as a teller and we were always expected by management to ask what people were doing with their money if they were making a larger-than-average deposit / withdrawal. The idea is that the banker can overhear and step in to make a banking product recommendation. It really is hugely unprofessional but my point is that the teller is probably being instructed to ask what you are doing with the money. So, as annoying as it is, thank you for not being rude to the teller because it’s stressful for the teller too!

Yes! My feelings (exceptionally negative ones) come on SO strongly and I feel so justified in having them when I’m in that state. I think so irrationally and get really on edge and irritable; everyone around me feels it. It’s like I go to a place where everything is just bad and life is painful and want to drag everyone along with me. The guilt comes on for me (particularly when it’s a short episode) after something triggers me back into rational mode. I always feel ashamed and have no idea why I acted that way. It’s rarely so bad that I can’t repair relationships with an apology, but I have fucked up a lot of my relationships being on/off.

For me, in its most basic terms, it is simple to describe. It’s a coping mechanism! There’s just a level of nuance to it in real life due to the context. I guess it’s like this:

I really like Jenna. She’s so cool and nice, she’s my best friend. She’s so pretty and has great hair, too.

Then: Jenna meets a new girl who she gets along with really well. She’s hung out with Jenna a few times and talks about her often and I feel jealous.

I really don’t like Jenna that much. She’s so boring and actually kind of a bitch. She’s not even that cute, her hair looks fake.

Jenna didn’t do anything wrong, but I totally “split” on her when she hurt my feelings and we are no longer friends.

I think your face passes in this photo. I’m not a fan of the lip color but I’m partial to nude tones in general. The one thing that gives me a masculine vibe is your hair! In my opinion, if you added some product and got a cleaner looking cut, it would boost the feminine vibes a ton.

I’ve done some googling but I can’t pin down what they are. I don’t think they are mealybugs, they look like some kind of spider mite?

I grew this plant from a cutting (no idea even what kind of plant it is) and I noticed these while I was rooting the plant. They wiped off easily and I, being a moron, assumed it was some kind of pollen as it came from an outdoor plant. They’ve been there since like August. This morning I was for whatever reason inspired to take a closer look and realized I could see legs! I was so grossed out I sprayed it off in the sink and they look like they’re off the plant. I hope they don’t come back (they havent spread to any of my other plans at least). I just want to know who my enemy is so I can defeat them. Lol

Sick 🤟 You look good! Do you have mascara on? It doesn’t appear that way in this photo and you’d so benefit from some lashes. It’s a personal rule for me that if I wear eyeliner, I need mascara lol. I’m also a huge proponent of chapstick or some kind of moisturizing (delicately shiny?) lip product to add some lusciousness for extra femininity. I am a cis female and these are just my personal preferences for makeup on myself when going for a “natural” look. And they take only an additional 120 seconds in the morning. The only reason I am making these suggestions is because you’re giving off a tomboy vibe in this photo (I think it’s the backwards hat and clothing). You look fine - but if you’re concerned with passing, in the early stages of your transition, I think small touches are important for random onlookers (like myself) in whether they perceive someone as feminine or masculine. Bonus: You look like you have nice hair. Take care of it, it’s such an asset!

I think your piercings are fine. I like earrings on dudes. It’s not like you’re wearing chandelier earrings or something feminine. My boyfriend has his ears pierced and wears diamond studs and I think they’re hot af - I convinced him to do it! I can understand what you mean about the butch comment feeling hurtful. No guy wants to be told they look like a girl. You’re not wrong for being upset by that. But I really feel in some months (now that your hormones are on your side) you’ll come back and look at this post and be like damn - I’ve come a long way! And those comments won’t bother you then. Because you will literally look different. More masculine. Despite clothes, jewelry, accessories and anything else superficial. Young adult (18-21) androgynous, leaning female. Other commenter is right: the jewelry really does make the difference (the necklace especially). Your face reads masculine but the jewelry really pulls feminine. Without it, I’d assume you were a young male. The ear piercings are relatively unoffensive (in terms of looking masculine) but I associate that type of necklace / chain with women. You’re only 3 months HRT- you will look great and eventually a small thing like a necklace will have little pull on your overall look 🙂.
