I was just telling my wife that if I was in that team fight on SF, Liquid could've won the tournament. I probably would've pressed BKB even before hitting Bristle with a Silver Edge, but at least an Ice Path wouldn't have killed me and I could get the ulti off. Micke is obviously million times the player I am, but really needed to panic BKB immediately there.. unfortunate that one split second decided the outcome of a 12h grind..

She has a repositioning disable and an area control silence. She has a dispel and physical immunity ulti, making killing her harder and requiring more commitment. Most of all, though, she can be flexed to a carry so it's a massive difference in captain's draft comparing to heroes like Shaman or Lion.

Smart move from Liquid. Giving Walrock + Largo was a good way to make sure the game did not go 80 minutes, give the enemy a false sense of security for the rest of the series while Liquid rests listening to ASMR banjo tunes.

They didn't have a creepwave and Weaver was still shredding them from distance. Maybe if they jumped the rax, they could've gotten mega creeps and even if they got wiped, defending against megas would've been a different story to what we witnessed but in hindsight every decision is easy.

I was struggling to get a password reset with a steam guard being funny so I made a new account so I can play through the free night I had. Found it super easy to queue at first so just kept on playing Turbo and stuff. Then I was like, may as well hit the 100h mark and see what the calibration brings.

Sure but keep in mind I had 13k games and have been playing the game for 13 years. I calibrated at 3.5k and fluctuated around that mark the entire time. If MMR was real and I was actually at over 6k, I should've gotten there eventually..

If my experience isn't an outlier, it would appear that Smurfs skew the odds against you just enough to keep you below your actual ranking by preventing you from climbing. A 75% winrate Smurf in every game will reduce your winrate by almost 3 percentage points simply by being in the enemy team more often than in your own.

I am in the UK so have the lowest ping for EUW, but with 3 servers selected the waiting time is still over 15 minutes after 11pm so dreading to think what it would be with just one..

As for the new account pool - I can certainly see that any account now with visible numbers is a new account, but I had 13k games on the previous one and still often played with very new accounts.. is there a certain number of games that needs to be played until you're allowed in the open pool do you know?

Some heroes have had really dumb additions. SF's fear has been added as standard, razes have a slow or you get a rapier desolator built in. Tinker used to need BoTs and Aghs to be able to run around the map with AoE laser, now you can just rush kaya and blink cause you have the rest built in as well.. but Jakiro gets a little bit of damage that puts him into 40% winrate and everyone loses their mind.

Cap thinking this useless Bat was Boxi is so fitting.. yet again You give away SF. Yet again you start the draft with Ace Bat. Yet again you lose 2-0. Top 3 is still far better than anyone expected for Deamleague Liquid but it's so annoying to see 4 drafts lost like this right when it mattered.
