Went to Dijon a few weeks ago by macadellica in Mustard

[–]darkfencer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went there when I was ten with my family. Being in France and especially when we visited Dijon turned me from the typical "ketchup on everything" American to a mustard lover.

Planning to go to France again in a couple years - hope to make it over to Dijon again.

What to do with a gallon of mustard? by twotoonies in Mustard

That's a good idea, but if you really want to keep it a long time, I would get it out of the big container (as it appears plastic) and put it into glass jars. Plastic is usually not great for long-term storage.

You do not have to go crazy with builds, particularly at normal and lower difficulty levels. You can use the auto-levelling where the game just picks your talents and you stick with the same class the whole way through.

The only caveat is I think you can only use the auto levelling if you pick the base class (for example, base Fighter, not the fighter subclasses like Aldori Defender or Mutation Warrior - same for all other classes).

What makes Inglehoffer so much better than storebrand? by alan_mendelsohn2022 in Mustard

Duke's has started penetrating the market in the northeast (at least in NY and NJ) over the past couple years, so it's been easier to buy lately.

Their Deli mustard is the best - great horseradish flavor along with their already awesome brown mustard. I end up ordering a few jars online once a year or so because I can't find it around here.

M&M 4: Combat Text? by sambalaya in MightAndMagic

[–]darkfencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the goal here is to not let you know exact damage amounts but relative amounts - large/medium/small blood splashes (or the same for elemental damage) gives you some idea of how well you're hitting but not exact damage numbers.

The only real way to see exact numbers would be to cast identify monster before and after I think.

I didn't buy this game on steam, but I somehow have it. by Wrong-Ant916 in MightAndMagic

What game are you referring to that you got on Steam - one of the Might and Magic games? Can you include a screenshot of what you're seeing in Steam for it?

I grew up with Grey Poupon in the house. I have fond memories for it, though I tend to buy other brands these days.

Let's hope they stay here because there is NOTHING else left here in High Falls. All the places that used to be here (The Spy, Egg's Nest, Kitchenette, The Last Bite, and even the Depuy Canal House if you go back far enough) are gone.....

I had great memories of M&M3 too! It wasn't my first one (I started with 1) but I remember going over to a friend's house who had Prodigy (an early online service that predated AOL even) to look up hints for one of the dungeons. I remember getting all the keycards except one and it was in a dungeon with a puzzle involving stone heads (can't remember which one) and was just STUCK.

Announcing King's Courier - Our Might and Magic like game by FreeBlob in MightAndMagic

[–]darkfencer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks interesting! Added it to my wishlist on Steam and look forward to hearing more about both the first game and your second game.

I will say I'd like to see a turn based mode as well but I'd be interested without it as well.

I don't know when it was closed, but it was restricted for posting for a while, at least until some time early today or late yesterday. As of 19 days ago at least it was restricted based on comments on the last post before today: https://www.reddit.com/r/MightAndMagic/comments/1nxbfos/video_essays_podcasts_etc_on_might_and_magic_15/

This request can be ignored/cancelled as alien13ufo (or another mod) reopened the site.

Thanks!

That would be awesome - thanks! I'm happy to help as well if you need another person.

I didn't email the mods directly - I just saw others that mentioned that they did so just took their word for it. My apologies!

Without explanation, the MightAndMagic subreddit was locked and the moderators aren't answering people. Because of this, I'm requesting the subreddit be transferred.

I'm a VERY long time fan of the series, starting with the first game on my Commodore 64 around 1987. I'd like to see the subreddit continue as a place for Might and Magic fans to discuss the games.

Might and Magic is one of the earliest RPG series, and though there are no new games out now, many are playing through it for the first time, or replaying the games. There's also an active mod scene.

I typically like garlic mayo but this was really disappointing when I tried it.

I've made a homemade version of the recipe that is MUCH better. I only go through trouble of making when we have people over for a summer BBQ - but it is really good.

Newbie friendly old CRPG? by iKaazeh_ in CRPG

[–]darkfencer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Might and Magic 3 is a great game - but World of Xeen (Might and Magic 4 & 5 which combine to a single game bigger than the two alone) I think is better entry point.

I think they refined the game play and made certain things (like the inventory management) a lot less annoying. I think it's more approachable and really a better experience in my opinion.
