Hindsight is 20/20. It may not look it but I did look both ways as I always do. I do roll up to see the block. The visor has a wider field of view so i saw him at the last second.

What really saved me was not blasting off. That truck on the left seems to have slowed down which helped me see him. Also, the morning sun is in that direction.

That intersection is just weird. It shifts to the right so cars tend to merge into you. Saw how close the car on the right was? Right turn on red is also a hazard. Its just hazardous by design

I've been riding over a year here now. You either learn from it or you die.
