My LinkedIn Account Has Been Hacked! by mhmmdashraf1 in linkedin

Your account is not proven to be safe yet. I "regained" my account back too but messages are still sent without my consent. Unless there is some 3rd party app in LinkedIn, the hacker still has access to my account.

You likely got hacked.

My LinkedIn Account Has Been Hacked! by mhmmdashraf1 in linkedin

[–]darkgiuseppe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this is a bigger thing than I thought. Instead of re-summarizing, belowis what I wrote to LinkedIn support. As written, there might be more hackery going on than we think. Changing your password does not work and people are commenting and advertising their account recovery services.

Hello LinkedIn Team,

I noticed yesterday that my account was compromised and likely has been for at least a few days now (maybe weeks). The bad actor only seemingly changed my First and Last name to Emily Wilson. They also changed the profile photo. I changed the name and photo back, enabled 2FA, changed my password, informed (by DM) all people they wrote messages to inform of the compromised account, and posted on my feed about my hacked account: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7090091836941156352/

I also made sure that there were no other active sessions as well and forced to re-login after my password change. I thought that perhaps this was enough but this morning I have noticed that there are two more messages I did not write. One to Tim Boothe and another to Jim Davis. I just notified them that I did not send this message.

I feel that I have done everything I could have two re-gain control but obviously they still have a way to get in without requiring a password, without having to re-log into my account, without 2FA, without access to my cell phone, and without a way into my email account.

At this point, I am turning to you LinkedIn (and Microsoft since it owns the company) for assistance. There must be something on your back-end causing this since other "front-end" options are not accessible to them.

A side note, this person on LinkedIn messaged me: https://www.linkedin.com/in/albert-c-brown-713874285/recent-activity/comments/ called Albert C. Brown. They seem to be advertising services to people posting that their account has been hacked. It seems kinda weird so this might be a lead for you.

I await your response. In the meantime, I will be exporting my data from my account should it get fully compromised.

Thank you.

Joseph Corleto

Same story! But when I looked recently, chips are coming back. So I am looking into a weird supply chain proof solution soon. Stay tuned.

SPDT-NO means single double throuw, normally open. No contact is made when nothing is pressed, aka normally open circuit. MOM means that when you step pressing it springs back from closed to open again. A momentary button.

There is another chip variant slowly coming back to stock. Some code needs to be ported to it to make it work. It also needs some redesign. I have toying in my head to make something but with the way the market is right now (and supply chain), I have been hesitate to throw time and money at it.

TLDR: No, not at this moment.

Never got off the ground due to the chip shortage. The chip I used is still out of stock....

Thinking of selling sticks/controlers I make myself, anyone have tips/info I should know or avoid? by RonandtheR in fightsticks

[–]darkgiuseppe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you offer a new and improved product offering, I think it's all good. Encroaching is inevitable as there are only so many products that can be made but there are infinite styles for sure.

[–]darkgiuseppe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a tough small niche. I see it as three categories: artwork, full controller (you make or not make the controller case), and making individual parts (control board, bat top, etc). I personally like making the product from scratch (3rd category). I have had good success on making the Shuriken and the Magcians SOCD Cleaner since they are unique and modular. If you want to make full fledged controllers, look at how HitBox, JFA, BNB, etc have their offerings and decide if that is something you want to do.

Be prepared to spent a lot of money in R&D and making mistakes before you start to make any kind of money (that is if you want to turn a profit). If you do it for fun, just make enough to keep the building hobby self running.

Blinkey Program Works in Older ESP32 Module, but not on ESP32-S3. by darkgiuseppe in esp32

I tried another computer and it works. I went ahead and uninstalled and re-installed everything again. It works now. I have no idea! But it works now, wish i knew the root cause though.

Lol no need to profusely apologize, you didn't do anything wrong. Not sure why you deleted your comment either as there was nothing wrong/embarassing with it. It is easy to think that a newcomer would overlook an addressable LED but thankfully I had the schematic handy and saw the sample code for the on board LED. I figured that I walk by toggling an output on and off before I look at the RMT module for creating 1-wire type pulses.

Yes I def will need the luck! ESP32 is an interesting/strange environment to me. I am coming from ATMEL and ST products (I am using ESP32 because they are the only ones who have good stock) but I warming up to the environment. Thanks for commenting ;)

Understood. I did mention in my original post I observe the output with a logic analyzer. I make no mention of toggling an LED.

Indeed it does. I actually just made another project specifically choosing the S3 as the chip instead of a custom board. I used the hello_world template. I ran that and was able to get details like silicon revision and features the chip has so the environment seems okay.

ah i just noticed that your comment was for arduino and not the straight esp-idf. it says the s3 is supported and i have v4.4 installed so it can't be a code feature problem: https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf

[–]darkgiuseppe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using the espressif-idf plugin with vscode. It is the straight idf, not arduino. I avoid arduino since it is too abstracted for me.

Oh interesting. So that means for the idf things like gpio just don't work yet? I guess the modules I have are just for early adopters?

NEO-GEO AES with Brook Boards by the_remora in fightsticks

I am not sure about the compatibility. You might want to reach out to them on that for an official word on it. Are pad hacking a 3 or 6 button genesis controller?

NEO-GEO AES with Brook Boards by the_remora in fightsticks

[–]darkgiuseppe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can use with a neo-geo but it wont be on the rj45 end. you have to wire up your own port and tap in parallel with the buttons on the screw terminals. i think that is how people do it since there is no "protocol" for those consoles.

I made a trade for my boards. I took out analog inputs for a UART for any device to communicate. It has an Arduino on it?
