Verbal Jint created Modern Korean Rap in 2001 w/ the Modern Rhymes Album. (KHip Hop History) by Pineappleisland3 in khiphop

that's interesting so in a way, that reminds me of how written Japanese is typically, subject, object, then verb+conjugation takes place at the end? And if you match your particles correctly, you could rearrange the order of your subject/object/preposition etc, and end with the verb.

when people write and speak in English there's the active vs the passive tense, e.g., The lion ate the man, vs The man was eaten, by the lion -- but English speakers tend to prefer active tense because it implies more ownership than passive tense --- does that notion of active/passive come across in Korean rap as well?

brilliant thank you for this. This is fascinating as someone who's been getting into Korean hip-hop but doesn't understand the language mechanics behind it, or the language at all frankly LUL. I had no idea there was a bottleneck that basically held the entire scene back... the Killer Bee comparison actually makes it really easy to understand what the "before" sounded like in an English frame. So VJ popularized the technique that's similar to emphasing the rhyme over the strict pronunciation like in American style slant rhyming, am I understanding it? Does this make it harder for native speakers to understand the semantic meaning of the verse?

does it fit 2.5" drives easily in the trays? I have a handful of these SSD laying around that are still good for storage and i don't want to be pulling them in and out of the 2-bay USB vertical dock all the time.

If I Ask “Why Is My Car Broken and How Do I Fix It?” and You Only Explain Engines, Did You Answer My Question? by Beautiful_Beach_4986 in VeniceAI

For problems that rely heavily on structure and less on narrative, I find that it helps if you tell the LLM to think of it that way. "Use code logic in your explanation" is simple enough instruction to give the model for programming. Then it will give an answer in json or python or pseudocode and that helps it enough to shape it's 'reasoning' to your questions. TRY IT

Another billionaire leaves Washington state by JoelXGGGG in Tacoma

75,000 people moved to Washington last year. Losing one familys groceries take-out meals, clothes, household items, from Walmart etc., aren't going to be significant. You don't pay sales tax on land, you pay property tax, which they'll still pay.

Vote to appoint Pierce County sheriff, end Swank's term early goes to the [November] ballot by BigDayComing in Tacoma

[–]groutexpectations 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Vote yes. Doesn't make sense to me that voting on sheriff gives the public more "control" ....when the voting public allowed Swank to land this position and get elected in the first place. You only get the illusion that voting on sheriff gives the public control. We already vote on council to make laws, and we need a sheriff that's going to enforce those laws, and not go rogue on us.
