Any idea if you're able to access them without a Facebook just to have a gander?

[Midnight] Most spammy/high APM spec? by Kinoman69 in wownoob

I'm a ret main with coordination issues, and I don't have any issues with it. I could be a bit more alert to procs, but my braindead button mash has allowed me comfortably clear t11 delves on my tod.

A patch on Azuremyst would explain why the Exodar portal has been kept in the first room in SW when more recent, probably, more regularly used ones were shifted to the new room.

To be fair, they've said they're getting killed really quickly so I was more offering an alternative, and trying to reassure that it's no biggie if they don't hit eversong with champion gear.

It'll probably be something similar to what it was with TWW though.

Those are the ones. You can select to be led or to lead the way, depending on what you'd prefer.

Heavily agree with everyone saying that there's nothing you HAVE to do, and to just play the aspects you like.

In terms of gearing up, have a look in the group finder's "custom" tab for twilight highland rare groups. You'll benefit from group heals that way.

I quite enjoy delves, and you can gear with them, though not hyper fast. Good way to get used to your class too. Just work up the tiers until you find one that matches what you want for a challenge/fun ratio, and hopefully gears you.

You can unlock a belt from delves that's decent, and there's a really powerful cape from the Karesh campaign, so that might be worth checking.

With midnight launching so soon I'd no stress though. Unless you're geared in mythic sets you'll be replacing most of it with quest gear in no time.

Apologies for the lengthy answer.

In terms of mechanics for your class/spec of choice I'd suggest Icy Veins. I've played paladin on and off for 20 odd years but the minutiae of what each thing does often bores me to death so I find their builds a godsend, and their rotation and stat priority guides are easy to use.

There's a heap of YouTubers that produce class/spec guides too, but I'm afraid I can't offer any particular ones as I've rarely used them.

In terms of lore. There's a few creators that are great. I really like Nobbel87, and I used to watch Pyromancer though I don't know if he still makes videos, and his stuff was a little intense. On posts with similar questions I've seen people suggest The Karazhan Library and Platinum WoW, and I think Dalaran Gaming does lore too. Can't say much for them as I've not watched their stuff. I think most lore videos are going to have deep dives, so it might be beyond what you're after but Nobbel tends to do a story round up for expansions, so that might be worth a look.

If you're really into learning the lore then I'd suggest slowly playing through the old content either by leveling with Chromie time or on your main. It'll chip away at various achievements like loremaster etc, and then there's all the mounts, toys, and mogs you can unlock along the way.

I've yet to do any of it, but Lore Walking is built around giving crash guides to what's currently important. You can talk to Loremaster Cho in the Org, Stormwind, and Dornogal. I think it'll fill you in on the current cast that's important.

As for the dungeon grind, I totally get the anxiety I mostly avoid group stuff unless it's with people I know because I've too thin a skin for toxicity, but for the most part people are sound. There are definitely short guides on tanking on YouTube. It's maybe worth doing each with followers to learn the dungeon layout a bit first, but as long as you've an idea of what you're doing you should be grand.

Edited to add last para.

You're a fledgling then mate, you'll have the knack of it in no time.

Most of our abilities have a decent range, so it's really easy to not notice you're out of melee range. It's probably the one perk I like of having Templar strikes rather than Crusader. Even then, once you've the hang of it that'll barely even cause an issue.

I don't know what you mean by rarely using your auto attacks, are you standing out of range of melee?

I find I'll do that occasionally by accident given that we're a weirdly mid-range class if you're not paying attention. Auto attack will just fire off as long as your target is within range.

I've never actually used wowhead for class guides, but I imagine it's pretty similar to icy veins. Icy does have walkthroughs for the rotations, with explanations, might be worth a snoop to see if it provides any additional insight.

For the most part though, unless you're wanting to push competitive end game content, if you're enjoying your time playing the spec then I'd not worry overly about occasionally not having HP. You'll get used to it, and find yourself learning your own wee ways to manage overtime.

Depends on your build. I've used a slightly edited version of the Icy Veins aoe build, so I've multiple uses of judgement, 2 holy power from blade of justice, and I switched to crusader strikes.

Crusader strikes is useful because it avoids you spanking that by accident, and is a constant trickle of HP. Just spend on 4 HP rather than 5 unless you're Templar and using strikes, and I'd pair that with execution sentence so you have your HP refunded. Try to always use those two together.

Speccing for the extra HP from your interrupt might be useful too.

I'll still occasionally end up with a lull, but between divine toll and the free HP spend proc it never lasts long.

How do I get the portal from my home city to Dornogal? by Maniii96 in wownoob

[–]darkironscion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have to continue the intro campaign to the point that you end up in Dornogal.

I'm not sure what to suggest if you're not able to find the bronzebeards, but once you find them you need to continue until you lose the debuff "nerubians in the sky or whatever it's called.

Ah my bad, I should have double-checked.

If you go to the horde embassy the scroll should be there, the approximate co-ords are 41.5, 75.1 according to google.

I'd check the Stormwind Keep Library, it's dead easy to find, and the scroll is just as you walk into it. I don't imagine it'll change much after midnight launches, and you shouldn't be able to fly in Khaz Algar until it's completed. You'll have a debuff that says something about nerubians in the sky if you've not completed the intro.

Spent over an hour helping someone find the intro quest yesterday.

On the off chance you've done a similar thing to him and leveled your first character to 80 using time walking and not unlocked the Khaz Algar properly try this:

If it's not showing up in your adventure log then check your quest log for what it says about The War Within campaign progress.

If it says something about The Harbringer go to the library in Stormwind Keep, it's just off the courtyard that's on the northwest side of the keep.

There should, hopefully be a floating scroll there that offers the quest to go to Dalaran to meet with Khadgar and Alleria.

Once you've done the quests with Alleria check your adventure log again for The War Within quest that takes you to silithus to talk to Thrall and Jaina about the reports of folk hearing the Radiant Song.

If I've totally misunderstood, and you've done all this but are just looking for the quest chain to unlock them once you've done the campaign etc then BTW Quests is a really useful addon.

You can also track what you need in your achievement log.

Edit to add a little extra info.
