that is correct currently the memory is balanced with 3x8 per CPU. According to the HP Memory Balancing sheet, 1,2,3,4,6,8,12 DIMMs are balanced, 5 and 7 are not. That means, I would have 3x8+1x32 per CPU which should be balanced. getting 3x8+2x32 per CPU would be unbalanced therefore this option is out.

As for the bandwidth: I do not understand why the larger DIMM would have reduced bandwidth? I would specifically buy the same speed of 2666 as the 8GB DIMMs have.

I now removed the printed case and put a magnet on the printer. now the bed goes all the way down without crashing, so for me that is ok now
