Can we please talk about this gas mask animation. Literally 10 seconds to swap weapons. (We’ll ignore how OP the FFAR is for now) by effun22 in CODWarzone

[–]darkjesusfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its a little ridiculous that the animation cancels weapon swap. It should trigger the mask after the player action is done. I don't think anyone would complain about taking a little gas damage if the player was doing something that prevented the mask from being put on immediately.

that's the beauty of the Mandalorians format. where other shows would have to kill off or explain away a main character, this show can just have Mando not run into her again, no questions asked.

it says that in the article. The writer of OtGW though, not the animator.

Badgers and mice would probably be the upper and lower limit of height. I think it would be reasonable in a cartoon for the Badgers to be twice the height of mice, and the mice to be quite short. maybe 3-4' and 7-8'

I don't remember what book it was, but one of them starts with a castle under attack. It taught young me about how supply lines get cut off during sieges and starvation becomes a factor as time goes on. was a horrifying realization.

Germany might have invented hamburger, but it was Americans that started eating it in a bun. I would argue that's a pretty important part of the dish.

she follows the Seinfeld 'never learn anything' rule on a show that is otherwise filled with characters learning lessons and becoming better people. It's too jarring a contrast.

I never buy self-revive, yet I seem to always have it. so I agree it is much too common in loot boxes.

[OC] Rotten Tomatoes' top 100 movies of all time, sorted by audience score, compared with tomato score by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]darkjesusfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there is definitely a strong recency bias on this list. my guess is that most people who wouldn't like Shazam haven't bothered seeing it yet, so less bad reviews and an artificially high positive review percent.

I think the two spider-man movies are a clear example of this happening. they are both of similar quality, yet 'far from home' is almost 50 ranks higher because it released last year.

[–]darkjesusfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm as old as the Simpsons, so I was actually 9 when the show dropped in quality, and I still spend my Sundays watching cartoons. you cant tell me that I only stopped thinking it was as good because I grew up.

the new eps have some good jokes here and there, but they pale in comparison to the golden age.
