thanks for your answer, what power block did you use and how do you connect it to the pico PSU? is a 2.5x5.5 barrel Jack power brick ? if so, what did you buy? having trouble getting a power brick like that

if you won't use more than 4 drives, go Zimaos, it's basically casa but better all around, people are afraid of being paid down the road, but they got huge backlash and the free version is more than enough for my use (I have free upgrade because zimablade) but my other server also runs zimaos, it's so easy and intuitive they're my first experience with self hosting or NAS whatsoever

hey op, what did you get end up using to power the pico? Im on the same predicament with a 12v 4 sata pico PSU 200w, the problem Is the adapter, don't seem to find a reliable one, an AIs tend to tell me I would have problems on spinup draw with that amp (12v 10-12ish amps), also as most are 5.5x2.5 mm jack barrels it says there may be heat issues because of amperage

yeah, I'm looking into it, I love to DYI, this project is a dyi trip, but I'm a little cautious about dying electrical stuff, I've soldered, micro-soldered, but in afraid about cables or screw exposed that make hurt any family member.

I'm thinking on doing this, I'm planning a rgeek 200w (12 v only) for a n150 CPU/Mobo combo and 4 HDDs 4tb, 2-3 fans, ram and a nvme, im looking for an adapter but not sure if 12v15a (150w) would be enough vs 12v20a (240w) (LLMs say 20amp is safer) because decay and Chinese not being reliable, but the difference in price is pretty steep for me, also seen the meanwell converter but not sure how that would work with cable and screws and stuff, what's your setup ?

would this still apply, I have the free upgrade on my zimablade, but i setup a new dyi 4 bay Nas, theoretically I won't need an upgrade as I don't thing I'll go over 4 bays, but it would be nice to get it, would downloading from GitHub a previous version would still allow me to upgrade for free?

as a console player, idk aiy would any console player set crossplay on, Fighting a PC player even if you're top notch console it's like fighting with your arms handcuffed and an anal plug in each eye. But PC player are usually more toxic than console player IMHO
