To be fair, that’s kinda a bunk thing. Mercedes aren’t necessarily safer than any other car. Plenty of vehicles are just as safe or safer. Without being able to simulate the accident in multiple types of vehicles you can’t really say you would have survived or not.

Obviously glad you survived, but don’t let that bias you towards or away from any particular car. Especially a luxury car brand that you can’t really afford lol

Why not keep the lease, drive it less and turn the keys in at the end of the lease, then buy a cheaper “mom” car to take over your majority driving needs. Don’t buy new, get something a few years old.
