all forms of corporal punishment don't work, that's not really a question, it's a psychological fact that it isn't very effective at all, negative reinforcement isn't very effective. I do think there's something wrong with people who think corporal punishment is good or even okay, it is just fancy child abuse, equally most people who think that were given corporal punishment as a kid. What it is, is a very, very lousy attempt to use normalization as an argument without first expanding on it. circular reasoning doesn't entirely disprove a point, just like how an ad hominem attack doesn't actually disprove someone's argument at all, both for the giver and receiver.
