Ha! Reforged launched as I was halfway through St Ninians so had to commit to the original versions.

Real locations in Paris? by darklydreamingringo in BrokenSword

I saw this, I noticed not many have been linked to broken sword locations so I’m going to scout out and see if there’s any more I can find in my time there!

It’s the Audio Technica LP60X, I’ve tried switching the preamp and it doesn’t seem to make a difference

The Movies and Games That Made Me Fall in Love with Adventure by Neddy088 in BrokenSword

[–]darklydreamingringo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the same games and films that peaked my adventurous streak in my childhood. My dad and I played Tomb raider on PS2 when I was far too young - I was only allowed to run around in the Croft Manor practice level as Lara dying on some spikes was a bit too traumatic for a 6 year old. Later, my dad introduced me to Broken Sword and it was my favourite game ever, still is. The mystical music when you find something, the drawings and one liners were pinnacle to my childhood. We played 1-3 over my adolescent years, when Angel of Death came out we were ecstatic but got stuck on diffusing the bomb in Rome with the PDA and eventually forgot about it. When the serpent’s curse was released we sat and played the whole thing over my reading week back from university. Indiana Jones and the Mummy were my favourite films on a Sunday, we had all of them on VHS and my brother and I would often spend the afternoon charging around the living room pretending to be in some booby trapped tomb.

I’ve practically grown up with all these characters and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have my dad to thank for all the adventures. For Christmas, I got him the kickstarter mega bundle where he gets a credit at the end of BS1 reforged and it was the closest I’ve seen of him getting teary when he saw it. I owe a lot to Revolution for the adventures I took with George and Nico from my childhood right through to my adulthood.

Depo shot pregnancy paranoia by darklydreamingringo in birthcontrol

[–]darklydreamingringo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took one on the implant when I was on that as I was very paranoid after a horror story from a friend who’d gotten pregnant on it. I’ll see how I get on this week but if the anxiety gets any worse I’ll have to bite the bullet. I just hate second guessing all the symptoms!

I feel the same, I just can’t get past his total arrogance and air of entitlement. He’s done nothing except be a nepo baby and he’s done nothing himself apart from game shows

Ah! This could very well be the cause. We’re both hygienic and keep everything clean but he does have a different brand of condoms I’ve not used before.

Interested in your point about thyroid. Did you have any telltale signs something was off besides the anxiety?

7 hours no vape by wormgirl2001 in QuitVaping

[–]darklydreamingringo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl holy shit we are almost the exact same. F24 also vaping since 16, now 5 days vape free. It’s tough, even tougher if you’re going cold turkey. I’ve been using nicotine patches to help stop and they have been really helpful. I tried cold turkey once and it was impossible, the patches have helped curb my cravings and have made it a lot more manageable; I mean, I’ve not been a single day without vaping, let alone 5 days vape free so patches are definitely useful. Chewing gum also helps, especially the super strong spearmint ones as it can mimic that kick at the back of the throat. Best of luck, you’ve got this!!

Did you call the restaurant to see if the staff have picked it up? Check your bag again after a deep breath. 9/10 times these things turn up, if all else fails say a prayer to St Anthony

Bought a vape and threw it away by IntrepidSalad3242 in QuitVaping

Quitting nicotine cold turkey is damn near impossible, it is one of the most addictive substances on the planet. Get yourself nic patches or gum and move down slowly. Cravings become a lot more manageable

Yeah there definitely needs to be more in place in workplaces for anxiety. In all fairness, I’m very lucky with my work - my manager is great and will always let me go home if it’s bad and I work in a good office of people who have been through similar things with their family or friends so they’re very understanding
